Chargers @ Jaguars Playoff Game Thread (i.e. NOT a Bills thread;-)
Low Positive replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because this game is on NBC, not Prime. Al Michaels was retained on an emeritus basis by NBC so he could call a playoff game. I had to look this up. -

I don’t have a problem with that. The Jags look lifeless and need something to pump them up. -

Bengals losing would be surprising. The Bills losing would be unthinkable. At least by me. -
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert officially ruled out for Bills game
Low Positive replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doesn’t matter. No one overlooks a team in the playoffs. Last week was a must win for them too and they could only score 9 points on offense against a team that had nothing to play for. Now the Bills have everything to play for and are much more talented. If the Bills lose this game, I will call for coaching changes for the first time. -
Joe Mixon fined 13k for coin flip celebration

That happened in college. He was suspended for a year and a lot of teams didn’t have him on their draft boards. But the Bengals are the team that accommodated Pac Man Jones. -
Mac Jones is repeatedly dirty and needs to be reined in

I just realized that it is repeatedly. I was wondering the same thing. Who needs a report? I saw it with my own eyes. -
But Josh Allen finding Jesus gets it’s own thread.

The crazy thing is that stupid bowl cut costs him a fortune. He has a barber in Palm Desert (from when the Raiders were in LA) and he travels there every two weeks just to get his hair cut. He also drinks iced tea at the bar of a PF Changs. He is one weird dude. https://www.businessinsider.com/raiders-owner-mark-davis-bowl-cut-mini-van-2017-1 -
Chargers - Mike Williams and Joey Bosa hurt in meaningless game
Low Positive replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Reading the Chargers' board, there is speculation that the decision to play the starters in a meaningless game was not Staley's. Along with analytics, he is big into sports science. He doesn't play starters in preseason and doesn't practice on Wednesdays because he doesn't want the players' bodies to take the abuse and is big into resting players rather than getting additional reps. So either the players wanted to play because of contract incentives or Spanos forced his hand. I have no idea if this is true, but that's what they're saying. They also get into the endless debates about QB rankings and feel that Herbert is disrespected. For some reason, Josh being ranked above Herbert is the one that get's under their skin the most. -
Buffalo Bills Fan Syndrome. It's like a sort of PTSD from so many years of disappointment. Most of us suffer from it because we all care so much. It was so sad to watch my daughter get her first taste of it during that Texans playoff game. As positive as I have been all week, it's starting to set in with the realization that the Bills starting safeties might be Marlowe and Johnson.

Film breakdown from previous Dolphins games
Low Positive replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think in this game, they will bring a lot of pressure. They have to try to create turnovers because their offense will struggle to move the ball and score points. They are also going to pull out every trick play from their playbook. Fake punts, double reverses, WR and RB passes, etc... If they have the wildcat in the playbook, they'll run that too. They have nothing to lose.
