  1. Giants fans are ABSOLUTLY convinced that all this activity is all about them and their new golden idol Jaxson Dart.
  2. The Pats have a ton of assets and gallons of cap space. We probably can't outbid them for anyone. Also, McDaniels worked with Meyers in both New England and Las Vegas, so he might be his guy. But I get the sentiment. I too see a 5-alarm fire, while I think Beane sees nothing that can't be fixed with a band-aid. As a fan, that is a helpless feeling.
  3. The problem is, if you have one, you need two. Remember the endless begging for a #2 WR when Diggs was in his prime on the Bills?
  4. How about this non-oil related pun "Olave TD, don't mind if I do!" Say it out loud.
  5. Just FYI, here are the current street FA WRs. All either injured, washed up, head cases, suspended, or some combination of the three: Diontae Johnson Odell Beckham Robert Woods Nelson Agholor Tyler Boyd Michael Gallup D.J. Chark Donovan Peoples-Jones Marquez Callaway Zach Pascal K.J. Osborn Justyn Ross Kadarius Toney Brandon Powell Jaelon Darden D.J. Turner Kyle Philips Mike Strachan Equanimeous St. Brown Collin Johnson K.J. Hamler Grant Dubose Rakim Jarrett Mecole Hardman Tyler Scott Treylon Burks I also took a cruise through NFL rosters, and there is really nothing on teams' PS either. The most interesting thing I found was that the Lions are stashing Malik Cunningham (remember when he was the Pats' camp hotness at QB) on their PS while they attempt to convert him to a WR. Gabe Davis is, BY FAR, the best WR on any team's PS.
  6. He's on the 49ers. They signed him to the 53 a couple of weeks ago so he's not easy pickings anymore.
  7. Sure. But your second point has levels to it. I'm sure that everyone wants to hire an "offensive genius." Sometimes you get Sean McVey and sometimes you get Doug Pederson. Both of those are acceptable outcomes, but one is better than the other. But that's not the floor, because sometimes you get Chip Kelly in Philly. That was sen as an inspired move after moving on from the "stale" and "washed-up" Andy Reid. And Philly wasted 3 years on the Chip Kelly experiment. Not only did they waste three years with him as a coach, they also gave him control of the organization and let him make draft choices. Sure, fire McDermott. But do we want them taking a home run swing on the next coach, or do we want them to play it safe?
  8. We need a sticky post with this link. Here is the list of the consensus HC candidates: https://www.si.com/nfl/titans-19-top-head-coach-candidates
  9. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often with the way athletes fill themselves up with NSAIDs and alcohol to play through the pain. I remember Alonzo Mourning talking about punch bowls of Advil in the locker room after he needed a very young kidney transplant.
  10. Just fill Eddie Lacy up with China food and stick him in the middle. Nobody is running around him.
  11. That video is on my list of three things that will lift my mood when I get into a dark place. The others are The Big Lebowski and Dazed and Confused. But watching two drunk Massholes on a boat really can't be beat for pure humor. It's the accent that gets me every time.
  12. They could also sign Travis Henry. Just think how much they could save carpooling.
  13. Mahomes is working the refs from the first quarter. He gets right in their faces. Their WRs also flop if they feel a tug. Getting calls is part of their gameplan. We ought to do some of that. BTW, Vrabel was working the refs during their game with the Bills. That's how they got that OPI call that changed the game. These are games that successful teams play to get an advantage.
  14. Never said there was a problem with the call. People said they hadn't seen it so I posted it.
  15. This is right as the snap is occurring, LoS in the 31:
  16. Logue is out of callups, so he’ll have to signed to the 53.
  17. To your point, the Falcons won the toss, took the ball, and scored a TD.
  18. If I was in a better mood about all of this, I would argue that you cannot win a playoff game in September/October. As to your first point, everyone in New England thinks that dynastic football teams are their birthright. Everyone, from credentialed media right down to these two Marine Biologists from Malden, Mass.
  19. They're so afraid of bringing another diva WR into the locker room after the Diggs fiasco, and it's destroying the franchise more than anything Diggs ever did. These guys are all divas. Ja'Marr Chase complains to beat reporters at his locker about targets after wins all the time, and he's the best in the game. But in order to win in this league, you need these guys. If McDermott can't handle a narcissistic a-hole like Diggs or Metcalf, then he cannot be a head coach in this league. It's part of the job. And if Josh is also asking for a "workman-like" WR room, then he's part of the problem too. Part of the skill of being a star QB in the NFL is being able to develop and maintain relationships with guys with multiple influencer girlfriends and 4 Lamborghinis. I don't think Aaron Rodgers has much in common with Devante Adams or DK Metcalf, but he wants these guys in the locker room and works to keep them happy because that's what it takes to win.
  20. Here is the current candidate list: https://www.si.com/nfl/titans-19-top-head-coach-candidates
  21. The thing that pisses me off the most is that while all of WNY and Bills Mafia everywhere wallows in this doom cycle (expect "trade Josh Allen" threads to start before they take another snap), the players all get a week off to go to the beach.
  22. Here's the rebuttal. Every single one of them claimed the same thing when Mac Jones went on that 7-game winning streak in 2021.
  23. People keep asking for a list of candidates. Here is one that SI put together for the Titans' opening, but I think it works for any team: https://www.si.com/nfl/titans-19-top-head-coach-candidates
