  1. You know you've been in the league for a long time when you played your first three years in a city that had three professional sports teams when you played there and now has zero.
  2. He is a huge part of the cautionary tale about RB's production being mostly due to the OL they run behind.
  3. The guy in the red hat is retired NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony.
  4. Yes and no. I would tell you all about it, but I've got to run to a high-level business meeting.
  5. There is a lot out there. This is an interesting read. https://www.ninersnation.com/2025/3/8/24380473/mike-silver-49ers-brandon-aiyuk-extension-kyle-shanahan-jed-york-john-lynch-brock-purdy tl/dr: Owner deferred to Shannahan last year and then the team lost. The owner is less willing to spend money based upon how Kyle "feels" about players.
  6. No QB contract will allow for that. But then you have all these pieces but are relying on a high-floor low-ceiling rookie at the most important position in team sports. I'd rather have the QB. I think OBD is more comfortable with Bishop and Rapp at safety than TBD. It's just like when this place was absolutely convinced that we needed a MLB two years ago, but the front office and coaching staff knew what they had in Bernard.
  7. It would be funny if he went back to the Jets after his wife made that sign last year. There'd be a bit of 'splain to do.
  8. I agree on the RB thing, but they haven't spent nearly as much on core ST guys the past two FA cycles.
  9. It seemed like a lot, but he had 31 catches for 371 yards for the Bills last year.
  10. They're tied at the hip. Either both go or neither. You want that kind of change, root for losses next year. He lost a WC game in his last year in Tampa. McDermott hasn't lost a WC game since 2019.
  11. The only time that I can think of a coach being fired after a long playoff run is John Fox in Denver. But then the replacement was on the staff as DC (Fangio). Find me another coach who was fired after a divisional or championship game loss. If you want McDermott fired, you have to wish for a non-playoff season.
  12. That's been the story all day, but he hasn't done it yet. I think the Giants might swoop in and pay him more. And, he would get to stay in his NY Condo.
  13. It won't be that much once we see the actual numbers. That 12 is with all the incentives. I think you know that, but wanted to vent anyway.
  14. Imagine going from the Jags to the Jets.
  15. I did. Bad teams had mountains of cap space and the FA class was less than steller. Overpays were bound to happen.
  16. His best year, by far, was with McDaniels in LV. 690 yards with 4 TDs. This year, he had 378 yards. It did feel like a lot more.
  17. I agree, but today is about signing UFAs. Cook and Benford will get done soon enough, I am sure of it.
  18. Mack is gone to the Pats. Its a few threads down.
  19. By all accounts, Palmer is a good, aggressive, and willing blocker in the run game.
  20. Lost is going to go to Beane's House, knock on the door, and scream this in his face.
  21. If Brady and Belichick were still in NE, there is no way that he wouldn't have spent at least a few years as a Pat.
  22. Ownership has not given Dabol and Schoen the license for even a partial rebuild. If they don't win now, they're out of a job.
  23. It probably is in the 5-6 range. If it had huge guarantees the agent would have bragged about it and it would have been reported. If I had to guess, it would 6 per with the cap hit being even lower.
  24. South Florida is like the GILF capital of the world. Look out!
