Low Positive

I've been thinking a lot about this over the past day. Why did a close road loss to a very good (and hot) team seemingly break the Bills? Is it the lack of execution on offense? Is it because of the way last season ended? We don't know what's actually going on, but the little bit that we do know makes it seem like they are having a bit of a crisis. I know that we fans get all depressed and think that the team can't win another game after every loss, but these guys actually control their own fate. They should be thinking "We'll just win out and win the division." I don't think that they can do that, but if they don't think that they can do that then we have a real leadership/coaching problem. And if Murray, a journeyman who's been here for all of half a season, feels that he needs to fill a leadership vacuum, then the Bills have a really big problem.

I turned off an NFL game for the first time this year. This game is bad, but not in a fun way.

The Broncos have nothing to do with it, but the Bills are a potential train wreck. That interests me as a neutral fan.

I've watched a lot of football this year, and there are a lot fewer deep passing plays than a few years ago. It feels like when the Devils' Neutral Zone Trap was adopted by all the teams in the NHL. I understand it from a defensive standpoint, but it takes all the fun out of the game.

So, this assumes that we're keeping McDermott: If everyone gets canned in NY, I like Mike Kafka. He's young and worked with Andy Reid for years. If not him, Tee Martin in Baltimore. The Bills talked to him last time. Darrell Bevell. Remember him from the Seahawks? He's currently Tua's QB coach. There are other guys, but those stand out.

This all happened because they found out that with the addition of Fournette, McDermott wants to run 32 personnel in a T formation. Maybe you could bench Josh and just have Ty Johnson out there at the QB? Now that's complementary football.

One message for the team from me. Play real football! The T-Formation was good enough for George Halas and Sid Luckman so it's good enough for Josh Allen and Ken Dorsey. I mean, the Bears won the 1940 NFL Championship Game 73-0 playing that way. What could go wrong?
