  1. Tua looks like he’s about to cry there.
  2. The Shanahan system makes things easy for a QB. It’s the same reason that Tua is so much better this year. They just get the ball to playmakers in space and let them do the work. In fact, the Deebo injury will be more impactful than the Garoppolo injury.
  3. I think that McD's comments about technique are very telling. He's not doing the right things for the Bills scheme, and now that we have an option with Tre back he is sitting until he gets all that down. People are not going to like the answer, but I think that's it.
  4. Me too, but my NFL career would probably be one play long.
  5. Yeah, but could you take the hit that would come at the end of the play?
  6. I just went to some other boards and here is what I found: Dolphins fans are blaming everybody except Tua. They are also convinced that their offense has been "figured out." Jets fans really hate Braxton Berrios. I mean, it's Edmunds/McKenzie levels of hate. Chiefs fans are really pissed at Mahomes for the INTs (should have to walk home from Denver) and the play calling of the great Andy Reid (refused to run the ball to protect a lead) Giants fans have resigned themselves to the fact that the team is not very good Bengals fans are having an ongoing, heated argument about whether Perine is better than Mixon. They are also worried about playing a "pissed off Brady." Cowboys fans are more positive than Bills fans after almost losing to the worst team in the league Eagles fans are happy, of course, but they feel disrespected by all the attention being paid to the Niners. I could go on, but the fact is that the types of NFL fans that post on message boards are pretty miserable. Except for Cowboys fans.
  7. It's not a skill drop-off because he is not failing physically. He is not reading plays well and making mental errors that lead to laughable incompletions and INTs. Somebody posted a video on Youtube before the season noting that Wilson might struggle in DEN because he had only been successful running one offense. The Seahawks would bring in new OCs and they would eventually have to revert to running that same offense that depended on half-field reads and Wilson scrambling to make plays. Russ wanted to prove that he could run a modern NFL offense and so far has failed miserably in Denver because he can't run through his progressions and process the game.
  8. Exactly. People forget this and choose to remember the 2021 season like it was all like that win over the Pats in the WC game.
  9. At this point last year, Daboll's offense was an absolute mess.
  10. This board has a weird collective memory block wherein they only remember the two explosive offensive performances from the playoffs last year. We won ugly last year too. Does nobody remember that Atlanta game? Should Daboll have been fired after that?
  11. The thing to remember is that this team didn't click on offense last year between the bye week and the playoffs. Never mind the losses, how did they look in those wins against Carolina and Atlanta at home? At this point last year, we were coming home as a 7-6 team to play Carolina after losing in OT to Tom Brady and the Bucs. Everybody remembers the Bills offense in the playoffs as the 2021-2022 Bills offense, but that was a long time coming last year.
  12. 3. Just thank the football gods that the blocked punt went out of the back of the end zone or this game could have had a different outcome. 4. That was such a surprise that it was hard to follow live on TV. It wasn't until the replay that you could see what they did. Mosley was actually laughing about it after the fact because he had been had. 6. Yeah they do. That's a great defense. But you know that those Marrone-era teams also had a great D, some good offensive weapons but were limited at the QB position. You know what teams like that do in late January and February? Play golf. 7. When you watch the game live you see open guys that the QB doesn't see all the time. Its the nature of the game.
  13. I was trying to think of something, and this might just be it. I wore no Bills gear and drank only water. I watched upstairs because my mom with mobility issues came over to watch the game on my Sunday Ticket account. So I did none of the things that I usually do. But, I did go to a Christmas party on Saturday night and had a massive red wine-triggered migraine (the worst kind IMO) so maybe that was it. We play on Saturday night, so you had better make that a Friday night dinner.
  14. Eagles game on Christmas Eve @ Dallas will be a good one.
  15. There is some truth to this. Yesterday, the Bengals ran a flea flicker out of a heavy package for a long TD. It was a really nice play where everything looked like a run with only a single TE running a route. He was a wide open for the TD. Great play. But they used it in week 14 against the Browns and now it is on film for all teams to study.
  16. So many playoffs games are like yesterdays game. The two that the Bills played in last year were exceptions to that rule, but look at the Bengals run to the Superbowl. They gutted out a win against the Raiders at home where Carr had a chance to tie the game with 1st and goal from the 3. Came from behind against the Titans where it took a defensive play to win the game with a last second FG. It was the defense that won that game more than Burrow and Chase. This game was 19-16. Got destroyed in the first half against the Chiefs, made a defensive HT adjustment, and still needed OT to win with a FG. Again, it was the defense that won that game more than Burrow and Chase. In the SB, the Rams won by 3 and needed a last minute defensive stop to win it. Every single one of those games was won by one score. Not a blowout in sight. The same thing with the Rams SB run, with the exception of the blowout of the Cards in the first round. My point is that close-fought games decided by a defensive play is playoff football more than double-digit blowouts. And to answer your question, neither the Rams nor the Bengals could run the ball in any of those games and everyone knows that the Bengals did about as bad a job protecting Burrow as an NFL team could possibly do.
  17. I think White will have a career like Fitz or Tyrod. Fringe starter with some clear deficiencies that will keep him from being a franchise guy but good enough to bounce around the league as a stop-gap for teams without clear starters.
  18. Sometimes I actually like to watch other teams with the same intensity as I watch the Bills. You know what? All teams have drops. All teams miss tackles. All OCs call plays they don’t work.
  19. That’s just how it seemed to you. The Jets board wants to cut Braxton Berrios for dropping a TD pass. “ball hit the guy in the f-ing face.”
  20. And yet they lost. Which team would you rather be a fan of right now?
  21. I used to think this place was unbearable after losses. Now Bills Mafia is miserable after wins. Enjoy the wins!!
