I said it upthread, but Aaron Rodgers going to the Jets and leading them to a SB championship would be the sports story of the year. If we were to win, it would be a nice story. Like the Padres winning the WS. The hapless Jets winning would be like the Cubs or Knicks winning.

The Jets have a huge advantage because there is no tape of the offense that they’ll run. Maybe they’ll use some plays from GB, but that was really LaFluer”s playbook. The Jets have 4 years of tape on the Daboll/Dorsey scheme.

The media narrative? No, because the Jets' story is just too good for them to give up this early. First of all, so many of the national NFL talking heads are open Jets fans. They are giddy with excitement. Greenberg and Eisen are squealing like little girls. You know all those stories about the long-suffering Bills Mafia over the past few years? Remember, there are a metric ton more long-suffering Jets fans out there and it makes for a better story. They need content, and a contending Jets team is content gold.

It was interesting in that lofting balls to Chase and Higgins deep when 1 on 1 was the entire Bengals offense until the bye week last year. See all of the highlight reel plays from Chase's rookie year. They were all deep balls down the sideline where Chase highpointed the ball. Last year, they made a huge adjustment to get the ball out faster due to poor OL play. It was night and day and that quick game was the offense that tore the Bills apart. Yesterday was a return to the 2021 form.
