TV Broadcast Maps and Schedule - NFL Week 3 2023 (September 24)
Low Positive replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
After the Bills, I'm watching the Chiefs and Bears. It might be an epic blowout. That is, of course, if the Bills win. If they lose I'm done with football for the week. -
You saw their entire careers as an adult. No one ever seems as good as the players that you watched as a kid. That's why, to me, Joe Montana will always be the best QB of all time. He seemed larger than life. Brady just won a lot of football games. I'm sure that if I were 20 years older, I would feel the same way about Unitas.

Week 3: Buffalo (-6.5) at Washington

They've also given up 10 sacks, so that cuts both ways. -

If Mahomes had thrown that pass, there would have been a 30-minute segment on GMF breaking down the play from every angle. -

The entire schedule this week is garbage. There will be an upset somewhere, but on paper there are no compelling matchups. -
So it’s considered an expert opinion to declare the only 2-0 teams after week 2 the “teams to beat?”

The Commies have played two garbage teams so I have no idea if they’re good or not. -
No QB contract. It’s an interesting thing. In SF and Miami, the coach is the biggest star. It’s like college basketball.

No team has two #1 WRs unless one or both of them are on their rookie contracts. Have you seen Davante Adams contract? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/las-vegas-raiders/davante-adams-14463/

The last time the NFL rushing leader won the Superbowl was Terell Davis and the Broncos in 1998. The last time that the NFL's rushing leader even played in the SB was 2005 (Shawn Alexander). I am willing to admit that there is a change underway in the NFL. It seems to me that Shannhan and McDaniel have cracked the code on how to win without being QB-dependent and if the Dolphins and 49ers play in the SB this year you may see a lot of teams try to load up on speed at the skill positions instead of chasing that elite quarterback. But to claim that the key to winning is a big power back getting the lion's share of touches? I would have to see that to believe that we are going back to the 80's

Fan dies in stands after fight at Patriots game
Low Positive replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was it ever any different? People didn't think that they were witnessing a murder or even an assault. They thought that it was a fight. Like in high school, everyone would just yell FIGHT and make a circle around the two dudes fighting. It took a while until someone broke it up. The only difference is that everyone has a video camera in their pocket now. -
After reading thebrownsboard.com, I really want to thank @Simon for the moderation here. Also, not allowing swear words really makes this place more civil. Sometimes I think that the filter here is a bit over the top, but it's a lot better than the alternative
-
But how unknown was it? The last time he had played, he led the league in passing yards and had his best statistical season on a 4-12 tanking Texans team that had traded away his best WR. Then he "took a year off" and has now completely fallen off. It's really strange.

Just a reminder, this team gave up 33 points to the Broncos. The same Broncos team that could only score 16 on the same Raiders team that we just hung 38 on. I mean the Bills could lose the game because any given Sunday and all that, but they should win this one. -

Bills v Raiders NFL network replay ?????????

This was a game that just didn’t happen in the eyes of the national NFL media. When they talk about the Bills, they still reference the Jets game. -

There are only four really bad teams (Texans, Cards, Bears, and Panthers) and the Bills don’t play any of them this year. -
It’s Browns Steelers. Those games are always heated. The division games in the AFC North are always really physical. But for a neutral fan, portions of that game were a comedy of errors.
-
It’s like Bills fandom x100. We sat amongst a bunch of Browns fans at that game in Detroit and they’re just resigned to their fate. It was actually some really drunk 20-something Bills fans that caused any problems in our section.
