  1. Football is too violent to have games that don't mean anything.
  2. They are waiting until after the SB to hire Kellen Moore.
  3. Joe Brady called plays in Carolina.
  4. The great Howie Roseman picked Jalen Reagor 1 pick before Justin Jefferson. Brett Veach picked Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round and Skyy Moore in the second. They all miss some.
  5. This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but Mario Williams was worse. Paying a pass rusher that kind of money when the team doesn't have a QB and therefore no chance of winning is a waste of money from the outset. Also, signing TO and giving him the key to the city was just embarrassing. Von Miller was a swing for the fences by a contending team. It didn't work out, but I don't blame Beane for trying.
  6. going 3 and out on the first drive
  7. Mahomes actually panning out as a QB from a college air raid system went against league-wide conventional wisdom at the time. It's complete revisionist history to think that he was a slam dunk
  8. A million is putting it mildly. More like 20 million.
  9. I'm catching up with old friends. And by old friends, I mean all the negative posters who are suddenly back at TBD. I missed them so.
  10. Get outta here with your logic. We've got Josh Allen trade demands to dream up!
  11. Do you people really think that if the Bills hadn't drafted Kaiir Elam that he would have dropped to the 4th round because Beane sucks and everyone else is so much better? Do you think that if the Bills hadn't drafted Dalton Kincaid when they did that he would have dropped to the 5th? Because that's what you're arguing if you blame Beane for misevaluating those players. No, the entire league missed on those guys. Also, the amount of people here who are now angry with Beane for not drafting Cooper DeJean is about the funniest thing I have read. When the Bills traded back into the second, this place was about to explode because everyone was sure that it was for the white corner with a background as a wrestler. People said that McDermott couldn't help himself from drafting his clone. I mean, this place was apocalyptic when they even brought DeJean in for a pre-draft visit. But now because he's been successful it is a complete whiff not drafting him. I mean, we're getting into Josh Allen draft-night thread territory with this thing.
  12. He's had a good run the past few years, but the great Howie Roseman didn't hit on a single pick in the 2019 draft. Andre Dillard OT Washington State Miles Sanders †RBPenn State J. J. Arcega-Whiteside WR Stanford Shareef Miller DE Penn State Clayton Thorson QB Northwestern He also picked Jalen Reagor one pick before Justin Jefferson in 2020.
  13. No its not. The definition of insanity is "The condition of being insane; a state of mind that impedes the ability to think, reason, or behave in ways that are considered normal, esp. one caused by mental illness." https://www.oed.com/dictionary/insanity_n?tab=meaning_and_use#325885
  14. They can create over 7 million in space by releasing Von Miller. That's just the start.
  15. This is probably a different discussion that should be had at a later date in another thread, but I think there are almost two drafts every year. The first one is the top two rounds, where a league-wide consensus is formed. Everyone knows the players that are getting drafted in the first two rounds. It's just the order in which they are taken that's up for debate. Mock drafts are shockingly accurate at getting the players who will be picked in the first two rounds, just not the order. My point is that if the Bills had not taken, Elam, Kincaid, and Coleman, some other team would have taken them within a few picks. After the second round, there is no such consensus and that's where scouts make their money. The Bills drafted Elam because the league-wide consensus was that he was the final first-round CB on the board. The Bills drafted Benford because they have a good scouting staff.
  16. What's really nice about losing is seeing some old friends back on the board.
  17. Not the OL. Spags called a corner blitz that he hadn't called all game. They never saw it coming. The Chiefs have the best offensive and best defensive mind on their sideline. Hard to beat that.
  18. But the team we're playing are on an even longer streak.
  19. Washington got here by getting Takeaways and their season will end due to turnovers.
  20. They didn't trade him. He was a FA.
  21. It's not just that. Washington needs some better dudes on defense.
  22. Not good. They have been winning with turnovers and a lot of offense.
