Bills signing Josh Norman - yes, seriously
Low Positive replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
To sign a player off of another team's practice squad, you have to sign them to your 53-man roster. You have to give them three game checks too. In the coming days, we're going to hear about Ingram and Vickers being signed to the 53 so that will free up practice squad spots. Signing Josh Norman costs the BIlls absolutely nothing except for a PS slot. I took a look at the available current CB UFAs and it's a list of has-beens and never-beens. -
Do you want to trade Epenesa, a DE who is playing out of his mind right now, for another DE in Leonard Williams? Or are you thinking about a two-for-one trade? Both of those players have pretty large contracts too.
-
What your proposing is the type of trade that MLB and NHL teams make all the time. Like the Sabres have a ton of forward depth so they might trade an asset there for some D. But NFL teams don’t usually make those trades because of how the cap works. And a rebuilding team like the Broncos don’t want your players; they want dem picks.

The problem that I saw was that either Dorsey or Josh was afraid to take the shots when they’re there. You run the ball and take short passes to get teams out of the two high shells. The Jags started bringing guys down into the box. When you get that, taking medium to long pass options is not “hero ball.” It’s actually taking what the defense is giving you.

Jets lose Alijah Vera-Tucker for the season

Rub some crystals on it too. And dark rooms. And medical advice from Rogan. Did we miss anything? -
Jets lose Alijah Vera-Tucker for the season

I thought that players could come back in two months from a torn Achilles. Aaron Rodgers said it so it must be true. -

Due to the injuries, they are going to sign some guys to the 53 from the PS. They will have open slots on the PS. They are taking a flyer here, but because the Bills lost on Sonday the sky is falling at TBD. -

Josh Norman started 14 games in SF in 2021 so it's not like he's been out of football since he left Buffalo. -

It's an end-of-the-roster PS signing and the season is over? How in the world do you people even get out of bed in the morning? -

The season was ruined because the team signed a guy to the PS? Last year we signed a washed up Xavier Rhodes to the PS. Did that spell the end of the season? -

Of course it’s the PS. He probably gets cut in a week or two. -
We didn’t let him get away. He chose to go to Jacksonville. The rumor was that he wanted to work with another offensive system to bolster his chances of getting an OC job.

You would have to think PS to see if the time off rejuvenated him. The post doesn’t say he is signing to the 53. It’s a depth move for a guy that knows the system. -
Well, there’s this MLB in CHI that I keep hearing good things about, but he just seems too young.
-
He probably has heated seats in his car, so I’m sure that he was in the hot seat on his ride home this morning.
-
That is very true. I also think that Chad Hall knowing the Bills playbook inside and out probably played a role in yesterday's game.

I'm not usually a person to blame things like this, but when the league itself admits that it was an "experiment" to see just how much of an advantage a team would have after being acclimated to time and place over a team that just flew in I get angry. They knew that they were giving the Jags an advantage in a game that was supposed to be a Bills home game. It turns out that it was a pretty big advantage. If they allow the Jags to play 8 games in a row in London next year, the Jags will win all 8 of them. As to your point, all teams show inconsistency on offense at times during the season. The Chiefs offense looks really shakey right now, but the difference is that they are winning ugly. In the two games where the Bills struggled, they didn't come through at the end to win the game. Really, only the two Shannahan system offenses are clicking every week right now through 5 weeks. That will change as the season progresses. The Bengals woke up yesterday. The Chiefs will start clicking and the BIlls will too.

What Did You Do that Caused the Bills to Lose?

I actually ate something during the game. -
Core Players Who Will be Here for Super Bowl Run

We might have lost to the Bengals, who match up really well against the Bills. -
I agree with this somewhat. Neither season-ender was a turf injury. Milano got rolled up on and a torn pec had nothing to do with the field conditions.
-
The reason that we dislike them is simple. I don't know what European football you support, but imagine if the league forced them to fly to New York to play an October fixture that counts on a temporary field. All in the name of growing the brand in another country. We get exhibition tours every summer by English, Spanish, and German clubs, but no regular season fixtures or cup ties because that would be unthinkable.

The Jets have more fans in the national NFL media than any other team. Eisen, Rex, Greenberg, Boomer, Ian eagle, Charles Davis. There are probably others too.

They were. They were a drive away from back-to-back Super Bowls. In fact, you could argue that they played too angry on that last drive. Ask anyone in Cincinnati. The Bengals didn't lose. The refs gave the game to the Chiefs.
