  1. McDermott cannot stand mental errors. He would rather see a guy get beat due to his physical limitations than a guy get beat due to mental mistakes. That's what I think is driving these decisions.
  2. And most of those defensive snaps are against the Giants and Pats. Edited to embed the Tweet that D.L. linked above. Eye-popping stuff.
  3. Don't give me stats. He dropped a ball YESTERDAY! I know because I saw it on my TV. /s
  4. He was playing because Morris got hurt in the same game. The Bills, right now, have one TE on the active roster and he's not really a TE.
  5. I guess, but he has 13 catches in three years. But he does block, so I guess he could fill that role.
  6. The Steelers won again yesterday and are a 1/2 game out of first in their division at 4-2. Why would they be sellers and trade a guy who got 72% of their defensive snaps? Why are the Bills more natural buyers than them?
  7. That's the life of any sports fan. Maybe I would feel more in control if I had been born in Kansas City or Boston, but I don't have any idea what that would be like.
  8. I don't know what they're going to do. And with Morris injured, they only have one TE on the roster. People celebrating this are not really thinking it through.
  9. Are they going to have to elevate UDFA Joel Wilson from the PS?
  10. Doesn't Morris have a high-ankle sprain?
  11. Gotcha. I read right over that.
  12. I get everyone's anger, but as much as we need to upgrade the safeties in the offseason, it is not an immediate need. The Bills need to trade for a DT in the worst way.
  13. Gotta hand it to Roseman. They moved on from Edmunds FAST.
  14. Von Miller and Josh Allen called this meeting because they are the two primary captains on the team. You know, the dudes with the gold "C" on their jerseys. That is voted on by the team at the end of training camp. I would assume that the other captains also participated in running the meeting. I could almost hear Diggs yelling from Cincinnati.
  15. Close division game that came down to a final drive where the Falcons kicked the game-winning FG after the Bucs tied it up with 45 seconds to go. Crazy thing is that Bijan only had a single rushing attempt because he was sick.
  16. I also point back to that Green Bay game last year as a turning point. The first INT that he threw in that game was essentially the same play as the first INT against the Jets the next week (remember they opened the game with a bomb to Diggs and then Josh threw an INT on the next play), the final play in OT against the Vikings, the Third INT against the Jets in week one and the INT yesterday. It is a play where Josh is rolling right, sees what he thinks is an open receiver (usually Knox), but fails to see a DB waiting to jump the route.
  17. Half the time you think he moping, he's actually looking down at that tablet. Kelly didn't have a tablet to look at.
  18. To make things worse, his average Yards per target was under 4, so he had a lot of success throwing screens and short passes with lots of YAC. That is entirely on the D.
  19. They do this in other sports all the time. Sometimes players need to say things without the authority figures in the room. This happened this morning. Diggs' IG story about turning the page and getting back to work probably was posted after the meeting. I think it was just to get everyone to flush that loss and get focused on what they can control.
  20. I'll be there with my son. I haven't been to a game at Rich/Ralph/New Era/Highmark Stadium since the playoff game against the Houston Oilers 1/1/1989. That's the game before the Bills got Ickey Shuffled all over at Riverfront.
  21. Bucs are coming off two straight losses and just lost to the Falcons at home 16-13. They need this win as badly as the Bills do. Should be some fireworks on Thursday night.
  22. Tee Higgins? I think that he has a few more years of playing before starting his coaching career. I kid, I kid. Tee Martin is an interesting prospect for the OC position and the Bills interviewed him in 2021.
  23. I think that Josh doesn't trust the scheme. He wants to see the guy actually open before he throws it. Guys like Tua throw to spots all the time and trust their receivers to be in that spot by the time the ball gets there. I was just reading the Josh Allen draft night thread in the archives (thank god I didn't post my thoughts), and some of the concerns are still there a tiny bit. Josh has gotten a lot more accurate but he still tends to hit guys and not spots. He doesn't lead receivers so that they can get YAC. He hits them in the numbers. Maybe they don't run the seam route because that pass requires a QB to throw with touch and lead the receiver?
