  1. Elway, Young, Kelly, Marino, Montana, and Moon played most of their careers before the salary cap era.
  2. I think fan bases have collective mentalities. Bills Mafia is constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. Despite our success since 2019, we behave like a bunch of Browns fans. Pats fans are like the opposite. They keep waiting for a return to normalcy where they win all the time. I live in Cincinnati, and "Who Dey Nation" has an "us against the world" mentality. They picked it up from Joe Burrow. Before that they were just like us.
  3. I had to look this one up. It's an old boxing term for a guy who is going through the motions to collect a paycheck. I think it's an old-guy version of JAG. And I think he means Isabella, but I'm not sure.
  4. The argument was that the Bills would be a bottom-10 offense with an "average NFL QB." I think that Carr is a good stand-in for "average NFL QB."
  5. I don’t know why you do this unless it’s to clear a roster spot and/or a bit of cap for another move. They also cut two backup OL.
  6. So by my count, the Bills are at 16 cuts as of now. Looks like Shorter probably made the team.
  7. Just last year, the Jets traded for Robinson after Breece Hall was injured and everyone thought it was a great move. Now he’s can’t crack the Giants roster as a 3rd stringer. Life does come at you fast.
  8. Sure, but afterwards you would be subjected to a 2-hour treatise on crypo currency.
  9. I watched a lot of preseason games this year. The Steelers effort level in preseason was extraordinary. I think a lot of our consternation about that game was due to that. The Bengals have looked really bad in preseason. It means absolutely nothing.
  10. As soon as the starters leave the game, what happens after that doesn’t matter from a QB perspective. Let Kyle Allen play. It makes no difference.
  11. You don’t have to wonder. The Cots want a 1st and Taylor wants 15 million. So the cost is high coming and going. If he wasn’t demanding 15 million, the Colts wouldn’t be trading him.
  12. Nate Peterman was 10/18 115yds with a TD against the Colts last week.
  13. Yeah, and every team in North American sports has this. I realize this is different in European soccer/football coverage where everything is negative all the time. But here what's remarkable is if a broadcaster employed by a team is not a homer. Here in Cincinnati, Marty Brenneman had an open love/hate relationship with the Reds for 4 decades. He was the most negative play-by-play guy in MLB for his entire career. It did get annoying to listen to sometimes. Also, how is it that this forum currently has a huge thread memorializing the king of the homers pinned to the top and also a number of threads complaining about Tasker and other Bills homers in the local media? Do hockey homers get a pass?
  14. Well, If the problem is acutally Josh the only solution is to trade him because in year 6 he's not going to get any better.
  15. Every team has a show like OBL. Do you think that Dave Lapham and Dan Horde say anything negative about the Bengals on Bengals Pep Rally every Friday during the season? They were 100% positive even during the 2-14 2019 season.
  16. I think that its because they told him that he couldn't run in a PS game and you can't take running out of JA's game. It just throws the whole thing off. I think that just knowing that he has the option to take off helps him stay in there and complete plays.
  17. My Bills and Sabres fandom is my last tie to my hometown.
  18. So the cynical reading of Steven A’s “sources” report yesterday would be that ESPN needs a narrative about the Bills for the lead up to the game. The Jets are full of em but the Bills are mostly a good team running it back.
  19. For people that complaining about preparation. Do you think that teams game plan for preseason games? I got the only thing I wanted; no injury to Josh Allen.
  20. They’ve been hitting each other and only each other for the better part of a month. Conflicts are bound to happen.
  21. Also most college offenses are single-read spread schemes. OLs are not asked to hold a block for nearly as long as they are in the NFL so it makes it a hard position to evaluate.
  22. Look for an AirBnB in Elmwood Village. You’ve got dining, the Art Museum and lots of little stores for shopping.
  23. I’ve watched a lot of these preseason games, and Aiden O’Connell is probably the most impressive rookie QB that i’ve seen. I may be getting Petermaned though.
