  1. Is there some nuance of the false start rule that I’m not aware of?
  2. Don’t let details like that get in the way of a good “damn it Beane” rant.
  3. The pressure is just so high when you play the really great teams.
  4. People forget that Goff played in a Superbowl with the Rams.
  5. Just can't do that against the Chiefs. It will be 14-7 soon enough.
  6. From what I read, he did not have a good camp.
  7. Here in Cincinnati, Collinsworth is in like 6 local commercials. He’s selling cadillacs. He’s selling financial services. He’s selling fiber optic internet.
  8. His Bills take isn't even the wildest thing there. Pittsburgh in the AFC CG? Green Bay winning the NFC North? If Aaron Rogers is so good that he pushes the Jets above the Bills, then how are the Packers better off without him? None of that is based upon anything except wanting to have the hottest take of all.
  9. I know that people don't like fantasy talk here, but I need advice. Should I replace Kelce with Cole Kmet, or pick up Kincaid, Knox or Gerald Everett?
  10. Notice that Higgins hasn't been resigned yet even though his contract expires at the end of this season. When he was asked about Higgins, Mike Brown gave a treatise on the salary cap and conceded that you can't pay everyone. Here it is:
  11. Joe Burrow. The Bengals are going to go on a tear and will win the SB. Joe Burrow will be both NFL MVP and SB MVP. How do I know this? Because this has been one of the worst years of my life and the Bengals winning a SB and having to watch the entire city celebrate would be just the cherry on top of the crap sundae that has been my 2023.
  12. I would take out Jeff George and replace him with Bernie Kosar. Brett Farve's breakout came in 1993 and Drew Bledsoe led the league in passing in 1994. So yeah, there were a lot of good QB's in the early to mid 90's.
  13. Jets got so much talent, they put talent on their talent.
  14. Chiefs went 12-4 the year they drafted Mahomes and 10-7 the year that he sat. Mahomes is great, but he took over an already good team, a luxury that not many rookie QBs have.
  15. I think the shortest list in the world would be NFL refs that fans don't think are terrible. The other would be NFL fan bases who don't think that the refs have it out for their team. Both lists would be a blank sheet of paper.
  16. Kelce was recruited to UC as a dual-threat QB so he sees the field like a quarterback. Remember, Edelman was always open too because he would find the soft spots in zones by reading the defense as the play was happening. Kelce does the same thing. He adjusts routes to find the gaps in the zone and Mahomes finds him because they are both reading the play in the same way. Here's Kurt Warner talking about it
  17. Half of the national NFL media grew up as Jets fans or played/coached there. Any time the Jets are even passably good, they become the story because guys like Greenberg and Eisen want to devote airtime to talking about their team. And it's not just them. Ian Eagle grew up in Queens as a Jets fan. You've got that former Jets GM Tannenbaum who's all over ESPN. You've got Rex Ryan. Peter Schrager is a Jets fan. Funny how being a Jets fans drives so many into the NFL media, but I cannot think of a single Giants fan on NFL Network, Fox, or ESPN. I wonder why that is.
  18. That Fox late map is interesting with those two tiny islands of yellow. I guess Austin is getting Carolina/Atlanta because of Robinson, but why is half of the state of Louisiana getting that game?
