  1. OT, but Ari Meirov sounds a lot like Ray Romano
  2. He's been doing this for years
  3. So that's why they call those hamstrings. More like turkey strings in his case.
  4. That may be true too.
  5. The deadline for that was Monday. I only know this because it was reported that a Derrick Henry trade was unlikely because the Titans didn't restructure him before that date.
  6. He should play on Sunday. He just has to occupy space.
  7. These NFL athletes are incredible. At the combine, he ran a 5.04 40 at 6-4, 328.
  8. You want McDermott to tell the fans his gameplan? Flip that question on its head. Geno Smith had 326 passing yards on this defense and Brock Purdy had 365. The Bengals should have lost to the Seahawks and could have lost to the 49ers if Purdy could have stopped himself from throwing the ball right to the Bengals inside his own 20. The Bengals D let Geno Smith march down the field not once, but twice, in the 4th quarter with a 4-point lead. Both times Geno turned into a pumpkin again once in the RZ but the game was right there for the taking. We might get stomped like you think, but it's not a foregone conclusion. Games are not played on paper, and we have actual Superman at QB. I'll take our chances.
  9. I don't think that the Bills are the better team. These are teams built to win in different ways. BTW, this is the last hurrah for the Bengals before the cap comes into play and their fans are in complete denial. Mike Brown said "We can't pay everyone" in response to a question on Tee Higgins in training camp. Interesting factoid: Joe Burrow has never won a football game at the college or pro level without a complete all-star team around him. At LSU he had Jefferson, Chase and CE-H and in Cincinnati he has Higgins, Chase, Boyd, and Mixon.
  10. Me too. But people in here are pre-losing games in their minds to avoid impending disappointment. I hope the team doesn't do that. We have Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. We can beat anyone.
  11. The Sixers were the real "process." The Sixers had three seasons between 2013 and 2016 with fewer than 20 wins in an 82-game season and it was entirely intentional. They had the rookie of the year in 2013-2014 in Michael Carter Williams and then they traded at the deadline the very next year because he was too good. Even the Browns didn't tank that good.
  12. I have a question for many of you. Would you rather lose out to get a better draft pick? I think that there are people in here that would.
  13. I can't either. He takes such joy in the game. He's like the anti-Belichick.
  14. Washington trading both Chase and Sweat seemed like a strange move until word came down that it was on the owner's demand. Josh Harris has led two complete rebuilds in professional sports (Sixers and Devils) the likes of which are almost never seen in the NFL. I expect them to rip it down to the studs this spring and intentionally lose games for multiple years. The next step is to find their Sam Hinke.
  15. I know that he was a difficult man and I probably agree with him on very few things, but that man to man D and motion offense was a thing of beauty. Hop Hoo Hoo Hoosiers!
  16. It’s the running. Your team defends everything and he still gets the first with his legs. Fans hate that. I know that I did when Baker did it us.
  17. Wow. They really are mailing in this regular season. I guess they can do that because their division is a joke, but they also might be a bit burnt out.
  18. You have to imagine that Beane called Kirksey as soon as Milano went down in London and was told that he's enjoying retirement.
  19. He looks like a kid whose mom made him wear a coat under his costume because it is cold on Halloween.
  20. I know. It's OK to say that the Bengals are a very good team that poses problems for the Bills. But posters on TBD are making them out to be the Greatest Show on Turf on offense and the 85 Bears on defense. They are a very good cap-era NFL team, as are we. Should be a good game.
  21. And Kelce was at the World Series last night in Arizona. He was also at the WS in Dallas on the Friday before Sunday's game against the Broncos.
  22. Trey Hendrickson didn't practice either with a foot injury.
  23. I would stay in a different hotel. I would hire a different bus company. I would take a different route to the game. Make everything different.
  24. As I said in the other thread, they had no choice. The Bengals choose black, which they always do for a night game unless they go with that awful Sigfried and Roy white tiger look. So, a white jersey was a must. But last year, in the Hamlin game. they were in the all whites. So, I would think that just for superstition they would choose a different combo. The only choice that they had was this.
  25. This is a smart move, for the same reason that the Bucs should be starting Trask. If you're not in actual contention, it's better to see what you have than to keep playing the retread.
