  1. Miami and SF wanted him at 10M, so the Bills had to outbid. Its a risk due to injury, but its only a one year deal so even if it blows up its only a one year mistake.
  2. Reggie Gilliam.
  3. He's a married man. Maybe he doesn't want to move? He also played for a bad organization before so he knows the value of a stable situation.
  4. I agree that it's not enough, but in this case Cook is not being traded for a pick. He's being traded along with a first to sweeten an offer to move up in the draft. The Bills would be trading Cook AND 30 for 12. But I agree that won't get you 12. It could get a pick in the 20's, but teams that need a RB would have to weigh paying the proven Cook over drafting the cost-controlled Hampton. I think Denver at 20 would be a good spot to look. That places Cook's value at a high 3rd, according to the draft value chart. But Dallas might also take 30, 56, and Cook for 12. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp
  5. He's from Georgia. Makes sense.
  6. He's thinking of Ice-T's hardcore band Body Count and their song "Cop Killer."
  7. The HC in Arizona is the DC under which he had his best seasons. He might have wanted to play for him again.
  8. Wasn't Von being here the main thing that drew him to Buffalo for that one year?
  9. You know you've been in the league for a long time when you played your first three years in a city that had three professional sports teams when you played there and now has zero.
  10. He is a huge part of the cautionary tale about RB's production being mostly due to the OL they run behind.
  11. The guy in the red hat is retired NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony.
  12. Yes and no. I would tell you all about it, but I've got to run to a high-level business meeting.
  13. There is a lot out there. This is an interesting read. https://www.ninersnation.com/2025/3/8/24380473/mike-silver-49ers-brandon-aiyuk-extension-kyle-shanahan-jed-york-john-lynch-brock-purdy tl/dr: Owner deferred to Shannahan last year and then the team lost. The owner is less willing to spend money based upon how Kyle "feels" about players.
  14. No QB contract will allow for that. But then you have all these pieces but are relying on a high-floor low-ceiling rookie at the most important position in team sports. I'd rather have the QB. I think OBD is more comfortable with Bishop and Rapp at safety than TBD. It's just like when this place was absolutely convinced that we needed a MLB two years ago, but the front office and coaching staff knew what they had in Bernard.
  15. It would be funny if he went back to the Jets after his wife made that sign last year. There'd be a bit of 'splain to do.
  16. I agree on the RB thing, but they haven't spent nearly as much on core ST guys the past two FA cycles.
  17. It seemed like a lot, but he had 31 catches for 371 yards for the Bills last year.
  18. They're tied at the hip. Either both go or neither. You want that kind of change, root for losses next year. He lost a WC game in his last year in Tampa. McDermott hasn't lost a WC game since 2019.
  19. The only time that I can think of a coach being fired after a long playoff run is John Fox in Denver. But then the replacement was on the staff as DC (Fangio). Find me another coach who was fired after a divisional or championship game loss. If you want McDermott fired, you have to wish for a non-playoff season.
  20. That's been the story all day, but he hasn't done it yet. I think the Giants might swoop in and pay him more. And, he would get to stay in his NY Condo.
  21. It won't be that much once we see the actual numbers. That 12 is with all the incentives. I think you know that, but wanted to vent anyway.
  22. Imagine going from the Jags to the Jets.
  23. I did. Bad teams had mountains of cap space and the FA class was less than steller. Overpays were bound to happen.
  24. His best year, by far, was with McDaniels in LV. 690 yards with 4 TDs. This year, he had 378 yards. It did feel like a lot more.
