Seems like there won't be a concenses on this. It will be interesting to see what Chip Kelly does with his hurry up in a similar situation. On another note, did anyone else think the Bills started using their timeouts too late? Not that our D stopped them anyway, but I was expeting them to use the timeouts right after the 2 minute warning, especially after getting that penalty on NE*.

Point being the extra minute did not matter because they had the timeouts and would not have used them until closer to the two minute warning anyway. The only advantage of taking more time in this case was to help the defense recover. If NE* would have scored quicker we would have had more time at the end of the game. But they managed to dink and dunk the rest of the time off the clock. We needed to be two scores out before employing the slowdown against a good team.

I agree with everything here except responsibility for the penalties. The Bills have had issues in the preseason also and he needs to get across to the players that they cannot win with that kind of play. That is on Marrone and his staff, they have to make the commitment during practice to stop those lapses.

It was a deep throw down the right, I didn't see the full route to say if it was a go route or whatever. The ball was short to the inside and Goodwin dove toward his left to try to catch it.

They may be trying to get a guard for Scott if Legursky's injury is as bad as it looked. I don't understand why the oline doesn't wear knee braces in these "meaningless" games.

Goodwin is not a player who you lead toward the defender, the ball needs to be thrown away from the defender. We'll just disagree on this one.

I'm glad, looked like he may have hurt his shoulder or wrist/forearm the way he came down. Not the best throw, but it's a chance you take with a qb who doesn't know the system and isn't good. In fact, I was glad we didn't have any other injuries because a couple guys got hung out to dry.

He needed to make that block in the hole if he's going to be a fullback. He looks more like an rb that isn't fast enough.

I think with this group of qb's, we may be keeping an extra rb instead of wr. We may be running the ball a lot this year.

I agree. In this case I think you would have kept him to final cuts because it gives other teams less time to work with him. Since they released him now I think some team will sign him because he will be an upgrade to their wr corps and they don't have to make a quick decision on him. Look at what's been happening with Sinkfield.
