  1. I'm sure if Chan was head coach the number would be much smaller. I think the Marrone/Hackett offense will see production out of the rookies pretty quickly, much more quickly than Chan would have gotten it out of them.
  2. How is it a collassal mistake to get paid 7 figures next year and be learning on an nfl roster? If the kids has it he'll get paid eventually anyway. There's no big rookie deals anymore.
  3. On tape he looks like a missile, when he hits the target he's really good, otherwise not so much. I didn't think he made all the plays he could have, saw a couple T'eo moments. Hope he can contribute regularly, should be a demon on special teams.
  4. Nice work Mark! EJ looked to be prety well protected at FSU so I think the speed of the NFL game will be his biggest adjustment. He will need to make plays that much quicker in the NFL. He will use his ability to take off and run early in his career but hopefully he will settle in before too long. To that point, I would rather see him sit out until his decision making is up to speed so he doesn't take too many shots like RGIII did.
  5. He's got to make a roster before worrying about qb, there aren't many teams with as many open positions as we have.
  6. Hand size is most important to hold onto the ball after the catch but certainly helps make the catch.
  7. I'm guessing the main draw was our pre draft depth chart. I agree, my theory is that Chan's primary comcern was brain power while Marrone's is folks who have talent. Just for example, the Steelers drafts have been lacking since Cowher left Pittsburgh. They're not hitting on players with the frequency they have in the past. The dynamic has changed in what is valued so the players change.
  8. I think there won't be any wr's that just cover kicks this year. They're going to be replaced by db's who hopefully could play if needed..
  9. All you have to do is look at the experience of most of the OL on the roster. Nix has brought most of them in so he's happy with them.
  10. The goal is to beat the Pats* and I think he helps. I want to see their #4 db on him.
  11. Why not? You realize the coaches watch the kicker in practice right?
  12. I don't know about ruining my weekend, but it would be tough to get behind Vaccaro at 8. He looks like a good player, but with the Whitner pick there also it would put the kid behind the eightball and I think this board would be trippin'. He would have a huge hill to climb with the fans before he even got on the field.
  13. I won't be surprised if the Jets use 9 or 13 + another pick to move up for Milliner. I think if he makes it to Cleveland it's a possiblity. I think Cleveland is in a great spot for a trade down if the draft falls their way. (L Johnson gets taken before Ari, Milliner could be a target from a few teams)
  14. QB - Geno Smith - Buffalo WR - Cordarrelle Patterson - St Louis TE - Tyler Eifert - Atl OT - Luke Joeckel - KC LB - Dion Jordan - Jax
  15. I saw Baltimore started taking shots at Kaep after he pitched the ball in the super bowl, I think that's going to continue this year for these qb's.
  16. In looking at the list of players the bills have brought in (updated thru the 11th w/27 players) and Buddy's tendency to meet with the players they like in the first round, I will say we are not taking DL or OL in the first. Not that it's a lock or anything but... http://blogs.buffalo...-list-up-to-11/
  17. If they don't get winfield back, why not if milliner fell to #8? The only way I see a big trade down like that is if one of the top 5 players fell to us or maybe if someone really wants Lane Johnson. The talent level of players through the twenties is even enough where if you do trade down it's going to be tough to get value for the move. I was kind of hoping teams would take two or even three qb's before us and leave one of those top players but I think all those teams have hedged their bets in the first.
  18. I think it will be difficult for the Bills to get good value if they trade down because the talent is so similar until the 20's or so. Hopefully SD/Dal wants an OT and we can get something from them if our targeted players aren't there. So be prepared if the picks aren't great value.
  19. He reminds me of James Harrison. I'd take him.
  20. If Branch can stalemate two defenders our rush defense just got a lot better. If Troup doesn't make it in 2013 we can sign Branch to a longer contract.
