  1. It will be interesting to see rg3 without snyder, it seems a lot of the attitude stems from/is condoned by/enhanced by danny boy.
  2. Implying maybe it wasn't like that when he took over... “What I quickly realized was that these guys like each other and they get along with each other,” Pegula said Tuesday while here for the NFL meeting that concludes Wednesday. “It was a lot of fun, actually.”
  3. I'm in for at least 4, still need to discuss for a couple more.
  4. If I remember correctly it was a technique thing - Tiki started holding the ball higher toward his armpit with a finger on the point. I believe the rb coach at the time made it happen, hopefully we can find a way to get through to Brown because the important part is how he carries the ball, not necessarily how many fumbles he has. If he isn't carrying it tight in traffic he won't be around, even if he doesn't fumble all the time.
  5. Could this mean we're done with the big cost (starting) fa's?
  6. I did enjoy seeing a lb get to the hole with a bad attitude. For too many years we had folks catching blockers on the wrong side of the line of scrimmage.
  7. I think we need a draft pick for compensation!
  8. I'm going to discuss this weekend, i'll let you know. Possibly 4-6.
  9. Assuming the dolphins want to use the cap space, when does that get cleared from the books? I'm guessing after the contract has been okayed?
  10. Didn't have the time for the whole game, but I watched a different video that was a cutup of just bryce from that game. I wasn't too impressed with him in that game. I just didn't see a lot of nfl throws, and while his accuracy is good enough for college I don't think it is good enough to be consistent in the nfl. He also didn't seem to do well under pressure which for me is a problem because high pressure in college equates to the "normal" pressure in the nfl. I would have liked to see him get out of trouble and hit some throws on a few of those pressures. When he had time he did hit some slants and deep balls, but again, I didn't think it was enough to justify a second round grade. I'll stick with trying to find a way to get another first round pick next year and taking my chances then or kicking the draft pick down the road.
  11. I think bpa is reserved for the first round, the talent gets similar and more "in the eye of the beholder" as you move down the draft. It seems we wanted a starting ORT since we offered something to Buluga, so I'd guess that first and then I think we have room for another starting TE and then if they think an OG can make an impact, sure. I agree it would be tough to fit a 2nd round rb or wr on the roster, but I think we could find room for a run stuffing DT (since when MD was hurt it seemed like we took a big step back last year) and an ilb/olb for grooming/depth.
  12. So much changes it's hard to say with certainty what will be there next year. There have been a lot of "next year" qb's as well as weak classes that turned out okay. I just think that is still our biggest need and I think we have a better chance at getting a guy who can make a difference if we have two first round picks. If there isn't anyone available next year, we can always pull a pats* and hopefully keep pushing that pick into the next year until we can get someone.
  13. I'm not sure I would bother with a qb this year unless it's in the 5th or greater. I wouldn't mind trading for an additional first next year to have the ammo to move up and get someone. Even if it means giving up the 2nd this year.
  14. I was particularly concerned about the coaching when Pears was still playing guard like a tackle deep into the season. I'm sure his years of experience at tackle were difficult to overcome, but he didn't seem to make much progress toward changing his game.
  15. I don't know why Goodell takes the rap for this when the NFLPA has all the power to effect change. Why can't their union do something for them? If changes are not made then there is a strike. I think the dirty finger of blame should be pointed directly at the union for their lack of effective action on player safety and caring for retired players. As far as I am concerned, that is the true hypocrisy here.
  16. (Except Cleveland early) Both comforting and a little scary at the same time...
  17. Has there been any offer or interest in an interior lineman so far this fa season? The only thing I've heard of is the offer to Buluga at ROT. Almost seems like at this point they are not looking for a starter in the interior. If I recall correctly Williams' main problem was pass protection but he was decent at run blocking. I guess they could still cut him, but why wouldn't they have done it already if he's not in their plans? And these questions aren't specifically to you, just thinking out loud here.
  18. Steelers don't let any video (at least from camp) onto the team website, I was talking to Chris at the practices this summer when he mentioned it. So it's not unheard of.
  19. How about if we use Harvin in the wildcat? The brad Smith role? Lord knows until someone steps up at qb the less that group does the better.
  20. your best bet is to come back Sunday, should be clear as mud then.
  21. +1. And it looks like most of the retention issues are going to be resolved by the Pegulas. Really Buddy did what he set out to do - take an often injured team and remake them into a bigger, stronger one. Then throw a qb on top in the hope that he will have enough of a team to develop as opposed to taking a beating. Didn't work out but at least we're near the top in starters on ir any more - and without hiring Rusty Jones.
  22. Just in case Rex is looking - he has something to check out!
  23. I would be surprised if he becomes a jet. I don't know if stevie is special enough for chan to want to make room for him.
  24. Here's to hoping you're going to be changing your signature soon!
