  1. Hopefully he days of being crazy are over.
  2. C'mon it's Mayhem, he brings whatever he wants to bring and you like it!
  3. I can't believe this wasn't brought up already - It's Mayhem time!!!!
  4. Big C has a good list but wanted to add I noticed Valles' athleticism a couple times. Maybe he can get thrown into the fire and help us out at olb. I thought Groy could have missed a couple assignments, especially on the one sack. I also thought Cardale made plays, but for example on the last td pass it looked like someone (hankerson) broke to the deep corner for an easy td but cardale didn't see him. The nice thing is cardale has the arm talent to throw a bullet on the money to make it all better. He looked like he did in college; with his feet under him he can make some plays. There were some bad throws in there too along with some bad decisions. I feel more comfortable with him being a backup next year at this point. By the end of his rookie contract we may have a big decision to make. Hopefully it will be an easy one.
  5. I think #49 might be on the first cut train too, can't stay on his feet.
  6. Might need to work on his strength to help him get off blocks better. By the way 26cb, thanks for the streaming link upstream
  7. I like how Worthy is playing
  8. Thanks Astro. Just sitting here at work watching my linux/database upgrades and this is providing some much needed non-technical viewing.
  9. I'm beginning to wonder if all rodak does is get a copy of the roster and check off guys he doesn't see.
  10. I'll bet most of the team will be laughing at him once they go over the film.
  11. At least we know the reporters will have to pay attention when Cardale is throwing the ball.
  12. I know the NFL is the common scapegoat here, but really the NFLPA should have been doing this for a long time now. Not to mention they should be fighting for the health of their current players. Goodell should not be seen as the point man for player safety.
  13. I think Woods ran an nice route and did not allow the defender to get to the flat. The slot defender definitely lost sight of everything except Woods as evidenced by his two or so drunk steps after Woods went by him, but that is a nice route combo and should have been a first down. I agree that given the circumstances Hogan should have fought or at least dove for the first down considering the clock would have stopped.
  14. It's a motivator for the player too and gives the coaching staff an opportunity to see if he looks good/can handle being with the first group. Same reason Blake is getting a chance at TE. Don't know about inside track though, probably just exploring the unknown. It's good he's earned those reps, far better than not hearing anything about him.
  15. Isn't that just what we do? Manage it to the stupidest common denominator. Might as well kill all the animals and close all the zoos because we'll never be able to protect all the people from the animals.
  16. I don't really watch espn much anymore. If I do it's nfl live and whenever I see it in the guide it seems like it's 50/50 that it's even on. Root sports has local hockey games, nbcsn has soccer and I can get nfl games through the computer if I want to. I guess they're trying to simulate these forums by having everyone's opinion on these shows, but guys like Steven A smith are unwatchable for me. The time for a la carte has come, let's get on with it.
  17. Does seem pretty silly and short sighted.
  18. Considering the rigors of the nfl compared to college, it had to be a consideration when they drafted him. Too bad it had to be done now instead of next offseason.
  19. A little less irritating the talent would be good.
  20. Is that really what you did? Thank goodness for you.
  21. I watched his clips from that game on draft breakdown - seems to me MSU was not shy about sending two guys his way. I like to see the opposing coaching staff pay that much attention to someone. On the other hand I thought it was odd that they singled Bosa a lot even though they had Conklin and Bosa did not impress me. I like Washington because I do not think Rex will have him catching blockers - something he doesn't do well yet. I think he will be calling a lot of stunts for him as the LDE because he seems to do that well. We drafted a run defender in Ragland and Lawson seems to stay at home well so all the interior guys can get after the qb along with Hughes and to a lesser extent Lawson. Contrary to some of the noise on TBD, I don't think we've played the run well for a long time and I think adding these outdated, non-modern run stopping types are what the defense needs to balance the team talent and get the defense to the next level.
  22. I say put him in with the wr group for drills to develop his hand eye, then move him back to db for the rest of practice.
  23. So you think he had zero input on the draft as a coach? That he didn't watch film on guys and provide his thoughts?
  24. I find it funny that he is so involved in the draft. From what I remember about his coaching career, he used aging veteran's much more than draft picks - and especially at qb. Seems like he just wasn't good at evaluating college talent as a coach.
