  1. The currently running commercial for the buffalo style chicken fingers has two dudes eating wings/fingers and a football game can be heard in the background. Sounds like Van Miller to me, anyone happen to know if it is and the game? I'm assuming the comeback against the oilers, but not sure.
  2. A quick google search shows he's had some success with the pushups http://espn.go.com/newyork/nfl/story/_/id/9714460/rex-ryan-newyork-jets-brings-back-pushups-penalties-provision
  3. My problem with the call is the referee who called it looked like he wasn't in a position to see it. He was on the other side of Glenn and I think TT may have been obstructing his view too. Even from the optimal angle the replay provided it was iffy.
  4. I think i'm bringing c Bryant in for darby. That gives me gilmore graham AW, lawson, Bradham in coverage and enough beef to play the run. Play the dends on the inside te and make sure they crash through gronk and chandler to try and get them jammed up at the line.
  5. +1 That was a professional throw.
  6. As far as Watkins, I think they were just staying away from Vontae Davis, he followed Sammie everywhere. Even on the long throw, Watkins had some space when he turned up field and Davis closed it. Maybe Sammy's hip played into the play calling directly or from a lack of practice time they just decided to not to chance it since otherwise they were playing well. Bill Cowher and the Steelers would put in second halves like that one when they were ahead. Sometimes it bit them but most of the time they just closed the game out. We need to run those plays with Williams though and I think it will be interesting to see if we have the stones to sit McCoy. And we need to stop taking penalties too. I thought after the muffed punt we should have gone for the jugular. Don't even bother with running it. After a mistake like that you have to be super aggressive. You could really strike a mental blow there and I didn't like the play calling/results. Overall I think the plan was to keep the clock moving on offense. Since we were successful with the scripted plays we kept to that plan. I got the feeling there was a little "we should be able to do this" type of play calling in the second half and Roman used it as an extended preseason. Since there were some blocking breakdowns maybe Roman took the opportunity to put some guys (Henderson) in an uncomfortable position instead of trying to help them by running away from them. The one screen pass in the fourth was on the right and I think it was Henderson who missed a block that lead to a short gain instead of a longer one. You could have run that play to the other side if Henderson was having a bad day which GunnerBill pointed out in another thread he was.
  7. That's cool, just looking for something to do. Thanks.
  8. I hit costco today and got some chips, dip and one of those sandwich wrap roll platters. I also got some brownie brittle and carmel cover corn puffs. I'll bring some condiments, lighter fluid and charcoal chimney. I will bring a couple small tables too, maybe some sliced marinated chicken and eggplant for the grill. I'm assuming we'll have that big grill there and I'll be able to use that. If not, let me know and I will bring a small grill with me.
  9. I think I'd have to consider the percentage those two represented as opposed to just the number.
  10. bs edelman had his arm pinned
  11. Does anyone have the latest cash-to-cap calculations? I'm a little concerned we won't be able to buy gatorade for the game Sunday.
  12. They could ask to restructure to a number that works for the team, if not he could be gone. Hopefully he stays to enjoy the new Bills.
  13. I don't know if the team and agent can determine common ground on the value of these guys until after the season. Seems like MD's value was agreed upon so we were able to get that done first.
  14. This situation seems to me like the Terrell Owens signing. I think Harvin will be on his best behavior to get back into the FA market as a top wr. Not sure he will put the numbers up here though, but it will be nice to have his threat across from Sammy for a year. My biggest issue will be if we want to pay him $10 mill a year in 2016/17. I hope we can get Woods signed long term, if we win a lot this year and next that will grease the ol' signing wheels.
  15. This to me is a closer move to what the steelers do than what happened with Fred. I think the difference now is that given our coaching staff and new owners, players don't mind staying on.
  16. I would keep him even if he would not take a pay cut. He would provide insurance and possibly have some trade value if another team lost a qb or two.
  17. I'll be there with my brothers and dad, all sitting in the tbd section. Hopefully we'll get into hammers lot around 8am. Looking forward to the full game day tbd experience, in the past we've driven up in the morning and got to the lots around 11am which was too late to really enjoy all the sights smells and sounds. Looking forward to it, ready to lose my voice early Sunday afternoon.
  18. Just don't know about the numbers balance between O and D, I assume Rex will want more defenders than what you have here. Maybe Goodwin and Richardson are replaced by Dareus and Leo.
  19. The unknown was williams. If he hadn't impressed as a rookie I think there's a spot for fred.
  20. If one was going to be inactive every week, I think fredex would have stayed. I think all will be active especially with our offense being run heavy. But I also only see us with 5 wr on the 53.
  21. I'm not going to buy into anyone on the offense unless it's well below where they're supposed to go - too many question marks between the qb, the pile of rb's and the new offense. I'm in Pittsburgh so I may get Clay since he will probably get overlooked. Might take a chance on Karlos Williams in my 14 team league assuming he is healthy. I will reach for Buffalo's D and carpenter. I expect him to be doing a lot of kicking again this year.
  22. Count me in for global warming too. Beats global cooling every time.
  23. I'm with you. I think man can pick up the slack of a few less sharks.
