  1. I just didn't know if I should go to the state rep or stick with the local township board first. I almost feel like I should just go to the state guy.
  2. Not really a possibility for the most part, the time issue becomes squeezing all the teams (9 between 3 fields) in. Plus the wear and tear on the fields, which again all the rec board does is to cut the grass. I wouldn't be so pissed if they put some effort or gave us the money to keep up the fields Depends how you look at it. The township park is funded by tax dollars; the parents of the kids pay the taxes. The other club is paying the rec board.
  3. Just hoping to get a little advice regarding dealing with local government. The situation is this: I am involved with a local soccer club that uses our local townships park fields for games and practice. This spring the recreation board has decided to rent the fields Monday and Tuesday nights to competative club so our local club will not be able to practice on them. While I realize the board can do what it wants I would like to push back through our township board and am looking for advice on how to do that. As one of many volunteers it kind of sucks to get 40% of our possible practice days taken away and the local club gets nothing but cut grass from our recreational board. I appreciate any help/advice on where to start. My first thought is to go to the township manager and probably a township board meeting but I'm wondering if I will need to go higher. Thanks.
  4. I do think there is a better shot of JA developing his game this year given the changes to the qb room, but I don't see how he's going to curb everything he's learned to become a qb that will know and take what the defense is giving him. Usually that is in the third season. Beasley will help, Brown will help, but I think if that's what we end up with I think the coaching is going to have to bridge the gap so that revamped qb room is going to have to produce.
  5. I'd rather have a guy in the 15-50 yard range, that's where JA is going to be more comfortable looking until he gets some more seasoning, especially if he is going to be scrambling.
  6. The one advantage a true number 1 provides is help for Josh Allen, when Ben started in pittsburgh he had Plaxico Burress. Just somewhere to go when you can't make it through all your reads.
  7. Waiting for the "take a qb every year until we're sure we have a franchise qb" crowd to recommend taking one of these guys... Maybe it's more of a gaggle and less of a crowd.
  8. Given it seems we have two left tackles and no natural right tackle I think it makes a lot of sense to draft a right tackle early if the value is right. Interior can wait until the later rounds or even not at all since so many guys are position flexible. Hopefully a couple of the short term guys step up and earn bigger contracts for 2020 and beyond.
  9. This would give us a good way to matchup with the NE short area passing game also.
  10. Could be the case he was chased off, we'll see.
  11. Seems like a Benjam-esque thing to do. I imagine Gruden was not interested in bringing him back after that one.
  12. Seeing the board would be interesting, but I would prefer to be in the discussions building it. Just vetting these guys out, what's important to them and what's not. For example, the beginning of last year it seemed Beane was acquiring bigger guys, then admitted speed was really the thing we need. I assume that's mainly Daboll pulling him, but when you look at a guy like DK with both speed and size, put him with a young qb who could get in the habit of throwing that way, that seems to me to be pretty huge. Might be worth the chance to see if he can take all that potential and become a professional football player. If he pans out I would have to think that's our "big" acquisition on offense and pretty much gives us a really good group of wr's. TE in the second, maybe irv smith, and I think the offense will be able to compete.
  13. You can look at the video yourself, just go under his results and there is the playlist of video's. While he could be a look like tarzan play like jane guy, considering the chances we took last year on physical specimens I won't be surprised if he's the guy. I'm going to say if he trains for the drill a little more he will also take the time down. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/d.k.-metcalf?id=32194d45-5436-3377-5806-d2746f1b94aa
  14. I won't be surprised if he trims some time off the low numbers at his pro day. Looks like he had a little trouble with his footing at the combine. With the size/speed combo someone will take a chance on him. I would not mind putting him in there with brown and beasley, would could cover the entire field in half the time it would have taken our top three wr's last year. I have a funny feeling Zay is going to look really slow in the preseason games if DK is brought in.
  15. He would be a nice security blanket for Josh, just don't know if he'll be the best talent on the board at 9.
  16. Seems like he'll be a top 5 lineman on our team and will be able to any position except center. Good signing to keep teams guessing on our draft strategy. Even if we get d williams there will be room for him somewhere along the line.
  17. The only player I can see the Steelers moving for is a mlb because they have not replaced Shazier yet. I think they still want to get it done with Big Ben, they have always drafted to win this year with their high picks. Taking a stab with Rudolph in the third was surprising.
  18. That's telling me either they don't feel it's worth trying to get a qb in the first round this year.
  19. Always seemed to have his opponent irritated at the end of the play, probably not a bad guy to have on your side.
  20. I'd rather take a chance on OL/lb/cb/wr depth in the fourth and fifth rounds. After that sure, but I'd rather just replace Murphy with someone who's a weapon catching the ball out of the backfield and can block.
  21. My wife had it done around 2002 and has enjoyed it. We did TLC I think? It was the same one Tiger Woods had done, I was okay spending the extra money considering. I had a buddy go a cheap route and he ended up having issues which he actually had to go get corrected in Florida. I guess the guy down there was the best and my buddy wasn't taking any more chances. Luckily it worked out for him.
  22. Seems like he'd be too cold in the wintertime.
  23. I've heard around Pittsburgh: "Yeah but we should have won the game by more!"
  24. We need a TBD"s collective head exploding emoji for that!
  25. How is this different fro something that Seattle has done? They too were bringing in anyone to try and find the guy. They just got lucky with Wilson. You have to evaluate and keep trying. I would expect our FO to do the same if we had many of the pieces together. And how many of the receivers Flacco has played with were awesome. I don't remember many, maybe an old steve smith and one other guy? A new start might just be what Flacco needs.
