  1. I'm going with Belicheat = Simon and Brady = Garfunkel
  2. Well, A) I'm glad saccharin shouldn't cause cancer and B) You don't drink the Kool-aid, you drink the Funny Face. It has a ring to it, that's for sure.
  3. No, but I'm not a tomato
  4. I don't know what that crap is, but "Pre-sweetened without sugar" is not Koolaid! The Koolaid packet says "fill the pitcher up with sugar and then put the flavoring and water in". Looks more like a farting tomato than a cherry anyway. Come ON!!!!
  5. Those aren't Doug Whaley sleepy eyes, are they?
  6. To be fair, that underwear has caught a lot of balls
  7. Pffft, how would you know.?
  8. I see the prospects that have been fully vetted as a minority situation and really from the standpoint of going to get a guy you need two to tango so it cuts both ways. Overall I think gm's (and front office people in general) are comforted by the same process and if that process is interrupted there will be some trepidation to do business as normal. Will be fun to watch though, no doubt
  9. It will be interesting to see how the lack of pro days and visits contributes to the trades this year. I guess there is less consensus and less confidence in the evaluations so there will be less trading. Seems like it will take more courage to go up and more courage to drop down this year.
  10. I would be surprised if he gets any guaranteed money. Seems like there is enough need for wr's for someone to kick the ole tires though
  11. When I saw the headline, I'm like "it's not April fools, what the..."
  12. We get the 15 minute test going and it's required that you pass it before you go into the stadium. No tailgating in the fall, but it becomes like having the tsa checking your luggage before a flight - show up earlier, take your test and get in. Wear masks, face shields, gloves if you want. Hopefully there will be some type of solution to lessen the virus' effects at a minimum. People making the call now about what's going to happen in the fall is a little silly. We should really be observing the countries on the corona curve ahead of us and do it better than the best of them.
  13. I'm thinking if we're going to trade up in the first two days it's going to be a few spots in the third. There might be a guy they covet that has made it through (maybe a cb) longer than they expected. In the past, it seems need for starters has driven the trade ups, looking for guys that can help us now without dipping into the next tier down. Like when they went up for Knox, "there was a significant dropoff after him". Seemed to be the same story with Ford, Edmunds and really Allen. Since we are a more solid team, I don't know if the desire to get a starter thinking will drive Beane this year. Seems like we can afford to let the draft come to us a little more this year.
  14. I think it's mainly muscle memory. For example, try playing golf and softball during the same season. Assuming you swing with the same hand, there are enough differences to where one effects the other. Like you hit a lot of pop flies playing softball. ?
  15. I forgot he was switching to punter - so that provides some competition for Bojo. With the lack of OTA's I wonder if they will have enough confidence to not bother taking a punter. Well, at the time Min thought they were getting a starting kicker/punter, he had done well in the preseason. Does seem a little lop-sided, but I don't know all the financial details and the conversation the Jags were having with Campbell like how badly he wanted out and if the Jags did him a favor by sending him to a contender.
  16. I thought we signed that kicker who was in Car and Minnesota traded for him in 2019 as competition? No need for more at this point unless that guy really screws the pooch. I agree that Bojo's 2019 performance needs to be upgraded. Probably one of the things on Beane's list when he says ST needs to get better. I'm guessing he's going to try and draft a guy for that since little has been done.
  17. Just told the wife we need to get another freezer.
  18. Yes I did, surprised he even played that much. They can say they like what he brings, but I always take actions for what they really mean. And it seemed last year that they liked him bringing the gear instead of wearing it on Sunday.
  19. For me this draft will tell me about Beane's mindset - are we going for it this year or are we still looking to add talent. Because a wr at 54 is not a player who will help that much this year (probably). I think an edge rusher (either de or olb) can help this year, probably a te since ours haven't proven a darn thing, a cb could help this year and a rb would probably have the easiest path to help. I would love to see an OL who could upgrade a position at 54, but it doesn't seem like there will be one there. It will be interesting to see if talent will be enough to trump need this year with the 2nd and 3rd round picks. I am coming around to the OP's thought process, mainly because I think Beane is looking to put the best team possible out on the field in 2020 and a wr taken before round 4 will not make a big enough impact. I think there might be a draft pick later or maybe a cheap FA to try and fill the remaining spots on the roster.
  20. If I'm Bruce Arians, I'm checking him out to see if he would take an incentive laden deal (assuming they have the cap space). He can sit behind Brady, heal fully and take over when Brady's gone or hurt. Seems like BA and Cam would get along nicely. Plus he'd play CAR twice a year.
  21. Considering Brady structured his contract to have the out he took this year I don't think there was much the Pats* were going to do about him leaving. Maybe he was tired of the A Hernandez/Kraft massages/cheating narratives over the years? Don't know, but it seemed like Brady was not interested in coming back. Also like to add the Antonio Brown thing, have to assume Kraft didn't want AB due to Kraft's massage girl problem even though Brady seems to have wanted him.
  22. I'm guessing the Pats*** needs have changed a little due to recent events, so no.
  23. Given our rotation on the DL, I am going to guess we could attract an older player or two for a reasonable contract if they are looking to extend their career a little more. Might work in our favor given some players' long term health concerns coupled with our state of the art facilities.
  24. It's kind of nice that we really don't have room for Perriman as a top 3 wr on our roster. At this point we need wr/st players, and hopefully they kind find at least one of those in the draft because we still have plenty of room to improve at least 2 wr slots.
