  1. Well, between the interest in AJ Green and Antonio Brown we can say that Beane is well aware of the usefulness of a top wr, even if it's for a short period of time. I doubt he will let this offseason end without adding someone who can fill that role. And he may overpay, so everyone get prepared for that now. However you have to.
  2. Disagree there too, he doesn't have the flat out speed. He is nice around the line of scrimmage and can get some chunk yardage but it will be difficult for him to carry our team offensively. I'm really hoping C Wade can learn the pass blocking assignments because I would really love the two of them as a one two punch.
  3. This kind of thing has been happening for a very long time - way before twitter - twitter has allowed it to be shared so now everyone knows what is occurring.
  4. Disagree - in our situation. I would rather have had DK as a target for josh than having another OT. Josh would have been further along in his development because he would have had an option instead of playing hero ball. Basically I think he could have started to get the ball out on time with DK and would have rather have that occurring this year. Of course, it didn't need to be one or the other; we could have used the Singletary and Knox picks to move up into the bottom of the second round to get DK. I would have been ok with shady or cj anderson at rb and whoever at te this year to make that happen. Pretty steep price to pay but would have been worth it. We would have come out of the draft with three first round talents.
  5. I'm surprised there hasn't been some talk of them extending him already, or any of the guys they brought in on short term deals. Maybe there's a plan to replace them, but I was hoping to see Feliciano extended before too long.
  6. For me the reason the minions from the pats*** don't work out is the total effort of the staff it takes to run the system. You need everyone on that staff to be giving the kind of effort that is difficult to manage for a lot of folks. I don't think any of the assistants don't understand what it takes, it's just impossible to find that many folks so committed in a year or two, because if it takes longer than that you're out of a job. This also happens to be why I believe brady is the not goat at qb, he is simply the best qb of the best system ever devised. If brady goes to another team he would flounder and look nothing like "himself" just as many of these former assistant coaches have.
  7. Once the ball goes over the halfway line into the offensive zone, it can't willing be played back into the defensive zone. Would be quite a change (Americanization) of the game. I'd settle for bigger goals myself, 10x30 would work.
  8. I get what you're saying, just sounds funnier with a drunk slur.
  9. Have you started drinking already? Guess it could be me reading it like you're loaded.
  10. Well, wasn't it in the third year together where Fitz said the offense was fully implemented? That's a large amount of time chan doesn't have to spend getting his starting qb up to speed. The bad thing for chan is that he's in another situation where he's working with sub par talent.
  11. I'm going to say the Buddy catfished call pointed to him running Fitz out. But blame Whaley if it makes you feel better.
  12. The issue is you can't take everyone out and when you pluck starters out here and there you put the remaining guys at higher risk. Like if bates is playing, misses a block and that guy hurts someone else. When eric wood broke his leg someone missed a block and that guy ended up causing the break. So maybe you can sit the boundry guys but the front 7 and the oline should be in there most of the game until the outcome is determined. We've had very few injuries this year, so maybe a little attention to the play calling and let them go.
  13. He is not good at pass blocking, if you give up shots to your qb you will not play as a rb.
  14. Seems like we have an abundance of players at DT. I don't know if we're going to pay top line money for Phillips. As for Shaq, he looks like he transformed his body this year and good for him. Since we haven't signed him yet (or any of our other fa's) I wonder what Beane is thinking. I would rather dump money into the O and let next year play out on the DL. Could this dude play the Lorax role too? Maybe that would provide enough value and flexibility for us to commit to him.
  15. We have a couple extra low round picks this year, don't we? But we're talking about a punter, not a kicker
  16. I would love to see us use Singletary like the pats*** use j white, just get him in space and dump the ball to him.
  17. Good stuff. I hope we add a rb in the offseason that can really attack the outside of the defense. Should give Daboll some different options. I assume he didn't feel comfortable going with the jet sweeps because of watt and dupree.
