  1. I've been making food for the game (beef on weck) so I'm only half paying attention, but how many passes have been dropped by green bay? Seems like keeping adams locked down might be the way to beat green bay
  2. Vea can push up the middle, Josh has been good at stepping up in the pocket, that might get shut down
  3. I'm hoping for some run blitzing to try and get their run game stopped, assuming we will try a similar defensive game plan where we lay back in coverage.
  4. I'll bet you're a lot of fun at parties. "Here, hold my beer. Watch this"
  5. I guess my question would be if Josh Allen had been drafted by the Bills in 2010 how would he have done? He may have done better than Stafford, but I don't think Ralph would have put the pieces around him to be successful to compete with the better teams in the league. I guess I just see ownership as more of a problem for that franchise than Matt Stafford. Look at the year Watson had - and he couldn't elevate that team past four wins after what BOB did to it.
  6. Well, could put a three team trade into the mix. Complicated, but it's not every day that a bona fide franchise qb (Watson) is on the market. I would think Stafford saw the rebuild writing on the wall. Plus all the history of fail it would be in his best interest to get another start before too long.
  7. I think this is telling me two things: 1) The Lions are in for a full rebuild 2) The Lions are really trying to change how they treat players. In the past Stafford would have had to retire to get away like Sanders and Megatron. So it seems like the new owner is serious about treating the players better than her predecessor. At least the Lions fans have that going for them, which is nice
  8. Yeah, seems like we're the feel good underdog story with the generous fan base now. Once we are top of the mountain I'm thinking it might not be so cordial. 😄
  9. A niedermeyer and a rhyming name as assistants? Doomed to fail! "Tennessee also fired assistant coaches Brian Niedermeyer and Shelton Felton for cause on Monday, along with seven members of the football program’s recruiting and support staff."
  10. I use chemicals proactively in my drains because I have had issues in the past with laundry soap and whatever else clogging the lowest trap in my house (built in 1952). I have pulled tennis ball sized globuals out of that trap with a shop vac. My neighbor has similar issues and has a ladel taped to a stick to help scoop the stuff out. If I use a chemical every 6 months or so it seems to help keep everything flowing well. Mostly it's something like drain-o, I will recommend the liquid fire it worked well for me as a one time cleanout. Read the directions etc with all that stuff. I also like to use boiled water to warm the pipes up because the buildup can extend down the pipe, but be careful with that as well. I mainly do that to not run a ton of hot water, we also have a well. The biggest thing is to watch for slowdowns in your drains, mine manifested itself when the laundry drain was filling up both sides of our wash basin instead of draining from the one side as it had in the past. Stuff like the amount of water you're standing in during a shower and lower power on your toilet flush can be warnings also.
  11. I understand and there is all the culture stuff and the winning etc. It's a business though, and I couldn't blame Mongo for going for a big payday since he really hasn't had one. I think we may need to get used to former Bills coming back after their big money contract ends as the new "Carolina connection"
  12. There will be a different tune sung around here if we blow a lead this weekend late in the game because we are averaging 2.5 yards a carry when we need to kill the clock. I don't watch the all-22 at this point so I try to take those folks word for it, but we don't run the ball well and it seems like opinions are split as to why. Morse is supposedly not good at run blocking but if he was the only one that was bad I would think we could scheme around it. It seems to me watching casually Boettger does have issues in the run game too. In order for us to get better something needs to change. I don't know if Boettger can put on some weight/strength to be better at it. I also look at Mongo and Williams and think it would have been a lot better to try and sign them earlier in the season if they were indeed what we are looking for on the oline. And maybe Beane did contact their respective agents to discuss what the contract should look like. With the run we're making these guys are going to get whatever they want in FA because they can pass block in a passing league. Beane may make an offer but I can't see how it would be market value because I don't think it's in the best interest of the long term competitiveness of the team. And in the end while I would like to keep Williams first and foremost, I think we will be relying on JA to manage getting rid of the ball quicker etc when some of our current oline are replaced.
  13. Yeah, looked to me like the db landed on his lower leg.
  14. I think so, since he has seen it work successfully. Plus he's not afraid to go with the best matchup it seems.
  15. It's wide right karma, this is our year! I'm calling the Cleveland win so we can get one more doink this year!
  16. There aren't enough expletives to put in front of awesome for that clip.
