After last year Beane said we need more pass rush. So he went out and drafted a de that hadn't played in a year and a guy that didn't look like he was quick enough to make a difference right away. We got some pressure on Mahomes but didn't get enough. That's really on Beane. I think DL needs addressed via FA with some type of short term impact guy, either outside (preferable) and/or inside. As has been said about every great qb, you have to be able to get him on the ground rushing 4 in order to beat him. We were not able to get patpat on the ground last week when we needed to.

Sure. We could also improve the pass rush at the DT position too. I just have to think watching those guys run through us for two years in a row will leave an impression. The one Hardman run really didn't have rush in play, in fact I think that was the one where Addison got juked near the sideline.

It'd be nice to get a guy who can make the oline better and get on the edge to make the defense defend sideline to sideline.

It will be interesting to see where the defense is improved. The easy way is trying to upgrade d-end, they were going after watt last year so there may be more of a commitment this off season to getting a guy. But if he's looking at guys in the secondary getting run by I hope he'll look at it objectively and improve what needs to be improved.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind them getting a man cover corner to be able to bring in at times. Sort of like how they rotate the defensive line. Where we're picking we would probably have to give up some size to get value on guys with the speed.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I'm thinking we need to get a safety that has a little better speed to help bring some of these guys down. Maybe draft a guy and work him in the rotation next year. When McD came in the narrative has been they don't need a whole lot of physical talent at safety but I'm wondering if they're going to rethink it.

Sometimes you have to pay the price to make the big money. 😄

I don't remember the run up Bass used, but I think he shortens it for the pop up kicks. It looks more like a field goal run up when he's doing that.
