I think it will be tough with two or more, just because of how banged up our defense is. It also depends on differential, but assuming the Chiefs don't turn it over for the survey. I think if we're -1 or better we will win the game.

Don't see how you can say that. The steelers had to win and get in for all the games he was suspended and all he could do was watch. Usually, a smaller defender will go low on a big guy. But if you do that and he ducks at the last moment? I think that's why he tried to bear hug him instead of bringing the lumber. He's a similar player to Rapp, with less ability to aim. So if the tables were turned and Rapp was trying to tackle Mahomes like that, what would you think? And really, I'm not trying to defend Kazee or whatever. I'm just merely trying to provide a little depth from living around Pittsburgh.

That defender (Kazee), in particular, is sensitive to the hitting because he was just coming back from a 3 (or 4?) game suspension for repeated unnecessary roughness violations.

I'm calling for Dawson Knox to have a good game. The Steelers have had issues with their inside backers and were shuffling them in and out based on run down or pass down. Hopefully we can get him open on the run looks.

I guess I'm getting tired of all the mistakes on option routes. Plus we can't seem to bring in a free agent that can hit the ground running. Maybe Brady has something different in his past, but if Josh has solid reads (none of the I thought you were going to zig instead of zag) and then gets off schedule it seems to me like that's the best of both worlds. This playoff run might be special, but I'm concerned these "miscommunications, (probably misreads is better)" are going to sink us.

I think Josh would thrive in a Shanahan style offense, and I hope whoever the next coordinator is will be able to get the best out of Josh, because that's what it's all about at this point. I just don't think the offense we currently have suits Josh the best.

Rudolph throwing the ball down field has helped their running game the last couple of weeks. The wind is a factor with Rudolph, if our defense is going to take that chance and play it that way. If we play back anyway, it will remind me of the offense during that wind game against the Pats a couple years ago. And I will once again be "yelling why are you doing that" at the tv. I also with you on the snow. Don't know if Ty will be available, but it will be nice if we can get Fournette to their middle backers not named Roberts.

I'm not going to be surprised if he plays, probably with a brace on. Remember, this medical staff sent him back onto the field with a tinted visor after a concussion that he supposedly didn't have (I know there's the "independent" guy that checks too). Also gave him smelling salts during that game.

If I'm Pegula/Beane I'm asking wtf I'm paying 8-10 dlinemen if we're not going to perform in the 4th quarter? That's the point of having all the depth at DL, is to perform well at the end of the game. Seems like there is an issue there. My thought is the players are used to getting X amount of snaps and they go over that, they're going to be tired. Doesn't matter if X is 20 or 40, once it's over that, they're tired. For me that is something that needs to be improved upon, if you have that many guys you have to make sure you're practicing them at a high enough level because they need to be able to go beyond their normal conditioning at times. It's tough if you're trying to dole out first team reps in practice and half of them are standing around, but that's what we have.

I assume McDermott will be back next year even if we don't make the playoffs (not an option on the poll). Because of the issues on offense and what seems like problems getting guys to play well in it (all the miscommunications, I forget who, but one guy who came in said it was complex) I hope we revamp the offense with either Brady or someone new. I also think we should hire a defensive coordinator. I think McD will get fired if Pegula/Beane want changes to the staff and/or operations and he refuses, like if he wants to retain the DC role and they want someone else, for example.

I didn't like what Epenesa did on this play nor the one prior. Don't know if that's what the scheme called for, but he basically crashed on both and took himself out of the play.

The only way you stop it is to get a hit on Hurts. With folks pushing him from behind and slamming him from the front somethings going to give. Easier said than done. Their LG is awfully quick off the ball too.
