  1. Me too. I was hoping he was some under the radar WR or LB who was requesting a trade.
  2. A cheaper option would be to try and convince Fred Smerlas or Jeff Wright to come out of retirement.
  3. Why would he restructure if he's trying to force his way out? I'll hold off on worrying until he posts this again on a day that's not April 1st.
  4. I'm not sure this board will survive if they go defense, defense, and defense (including another edge rusher) in the first three rounds.
  5. I'm as skeptical as anyone that McDermott has the bandwidth to take this on, but give the guy credit from an accountability perspective. If the D crumbles again in the post-season, it's 100% on him. No excuses.
  6. We must have the same friend because he asked me the same question.
  7. Well I guess I was wrong in saying that the Texans screwed up by winning their last game and dropping to No. 2 as they won't get their top pick of QB after all.
  8. That's a huge number for a guy I had forgotten was still in the league a year ago. Good for him.
  9. Was literally just thinking the exact same thing when I saw the the update about his brother .
  10. It really depends on how the pieces fall. Right now, giving Allen more talented weapons will have a bigger bang for the buck than a comparable player on D. That said, if we get lucky and a difference-making defensive player falls into our laps, I'd take that over a WR or OL with more uncertainty.
  11. Until there's a picture of Von posing with Ran Carthon (Titans GM), there's no story here.
  12. Just call it "the house that Josh built"
  13. You can't just evaluate Gabe based on his numbers. It's great when he goes off for 150+ yards and multiple TDs, but then he disappears for huge stretches of the season. And the drops, which have happened on game changing plays (like the Jets game), are just killers. Consistency and reliability are just as important as stats in terms of identifying where WRs fall in a team's pecking order, and why Davis isn't a true WR2 right now.
  14. ESPN just put out its 2024 Super Bowl predictions this morning. They need to do a full retraction after this news.
  15. This. He's a great QB, but the number of big plays that he's able to make after holding the ball for 3,4, 5+ seconds is just crazy. And they still didn't allow a single sack.
  16. Poyer and Edmunds aren't under contract for next year and Oliver isn't one of 10 best players in the team.
  17. I knew that the Eagles OL was great, but that was stunning to watch.
  18. I watched the hit to Josh and the play that Brock Purdy got injured on to compare the two. To my hugely untrained eye, they were almost identical. This team had a ton of bad luck this year, but Josh escaping serious injury on that play is incredibly fortunate.
  19. Shakir may or may not grow into being a capable #2 WR, but given where this team is supposed to be next year it would be criminal if Beane counted on that happening this year. Not sure that Davis will ever be that reliable, but I hope I'm wrong.
  20. "Shift" money? We'd need to do a lot more than that. They would need Jason Bateman's character from Ozark to make it work.
  21. Damn it! I really thought we had something special in #17, but if "numerous fans" say otherwise it may be time to see if Nathan Peterman is still available.
  22. They both have five letters in their last name.
  23. They have seven Super Bowl rings between them.
  24. You have to wonder about an organization that throws away first round draft picks like they're water in exchange for an over-the-hill QB and a head coach whose success depends on the play of that QB.
  25. I just watched a replay of both injuries and they are eerily similar, at least to the untrained eye. Josh definitely caught a huge break.
