Careful when you assume, CTM. I have no problem with you making and azz of yourself, but........ I don't think you need to post your findings, I think anyone with a little bit of time can find many of the holes in KG77's statments about the Dresden raid(s). What little I remembered from classes 25 years ago at UB gave me enough to go on to do some searchs that invalidated enough of what he said in his postings about Dresden. As for his other disgareements between the two of you, it was just more grist for the PPP mill, and really not all that interesting. Since I know your reading AD, happy belated birthday, you libertarian lunatic. -

I don't doubt you're a "genius", I just don't think your arrogance is warranted. So Tom, enjoy your "genius"; crack open a cold one, take your meds, and sit back with the latest issue of "Janes Defense". It s big world, and there is room for all of us at TBD. (except for RichiO, BF, and ICE. Bring back Crayonz) -

I can't prevent the PPP gang for laughing at what they perceive as "stalking", anymore tha hey can prevent me from finding amusement in AD's unsubstantiave replys, or your continued, and unwarranted arrogance. Remember, behind a keyboard we are all six foot four, 240 pounds, with (in your case, almost) a PhD. My guess is, reality paints a different picture. -

Typical, well thought-out, AD response. Don't strain yourself with your critical thinking big guy. -

Please tell me you were unable to insert the sarcasm smiley when referring to Christian SLater and Judd Nelson. No problem with Clint and the DeNiro/Pacino team, however. For some of the olde folks out there (stuckincincy, perhaps).....I would offer James Stewart in ANY Hitchcock movie, and certainly in Flight of the Phoenix, Henry Fonda in Grapes of Wrath, Roy Schieder in Jaws, Gene Hackman as Popeye Doyle, Alec Baldwin in great supporting turn in Glengarry Glen Ross. -

My apologies there are more typo's in that post than you would find in several of F-FS's / Pyrite Gal's. I'll try to do better next time. Talk about lack of attention to detail! -

I am not even gpoing to try to retend to be an expert regarding this whole sordid topic. It seems to me, if I recall a miltary history calss in my distant past, that far greater than 165 tons of incendiery bombs were used by the allied bomber fleets. he number of 165 tons I believecpomes from he bombing missions in March folliwng those of the 13th through 15th of February. If my recollection is correct, than Kurt Gpedl is wrong, kind of. It would appear he is understating the use of bombs on Deresden during that (in retrospect) ill advised raid. Flame away, again, I am not presenting myself as any kind of expert, just someone who hopes something like this episode never has to be repeated in my lifetime. -

Cincy, It is the West Senca DEVELOPMENTAL Ceter, not Psychiatric center. The Developmental Center servespeople (primarily adults) with developmental disabilities (mental retardation, head injuries, etc) They do not have pyschiatric (mental illnes) problems. (at least not at a rate any higher than the general public. A small point perhaps, but as I worked with people with developmental disabilitiesfor while some years back, it is a distinction worth making. -

It probably doesn't. My point was what you stated, I used JSP's statement as an example of the attitude that "what stupid people has no impact on me". It does. To put it simple english that PPP afficianodos will understand, stupidity needs to be controlled, or dealt with. If it isn't, your quality will suffer. Simplistic to posts are one of the less endearing parts of PPP, although I expected a better response from you. -

Regardless of your particular political bent, conservative or liberal, the idea that the stupid behavior of others within your "community" doesn't have an impact on you is short sighted at best. Where I live, 75% of the college graduates are women, 99% of the prison population is men. It is a "community of 100,000, we are on a pace to have well over 50 homicides this year (40 and counting this year, two more yesterday). I have no children, nor do I have much contact with the population segment that has most of the homicides. Does the above have negative impact on my qulaity of life?? Absolutely, in ways that are too numerous to mention in a posting on this forum. I don't know what the answer is, I am not sure what the governments role is, but I believe the government does have A role to play in whatever solution hat is applied. I also think that etiology of these problems ("some clown wants his daughter to grow up to be a drunken slut that's his problem, not mine") si short sighted and is, in part, your problem. -

Whoops, sorry I screwed up that last posting. Both Dennis Shaw and Joe Ferguson strated as rookie QB's for the Bills. As was posted earlier, Shaw was named rookie of the , Ferguson wet 9-5 as a rookie (although he spent a fair amount of time handing off to OJ Simpson in 2,003 yard season.) While Shaws career went into the craper after his rookie year, clearly Ferguson went on to a productive career here before being run off by Larry Felser and Co. at the Buffalo News. -

When did you become a Bills fan?
Cheeseburger in Paradise replied to BILLSBACKERINLA's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moved back to WNY when I was twelve years old. (in 1971!!!!!) Welived about a mile away from Niagara University, where the Bills then held their training camp. Spent many a late summer morning riding our bikes to watch the likes of OJ, Jim Braxton, the Electri Company, Fergy and others practice. It was not to follow them as a result. Thankfully, through the "miracle" of Sunday Ticket, this website, and other methods (the late and unlamented "Shout" magazine) I have been able to remain a Bills fan. Remembering the teams of the early 80's (Vince Ferragamo, anyone???) makes these past few season almost managable. -

U at Buffalo Bulls new logo
Cheeseburger in Paradise replied to zow2's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It looks similar to the logo used when I attended UB in the late 70's-early 80's. That was during UB's return to Div III football back then. The logo then was a bit less "cartoon-ish", and looked something the Schlitz Malt Liquor bull referenced in another post. If I recall, there was some limited advertising tie on the campus then, something like"Don't say beer, Say Bull - UB Football" (Yay!) The logo was also hanging by the entrance in The Aud, along with Canisius, Buff States, and NU's, I believe. -
