I am inclined to agree with you AD, I'm sure Hannity did not have to look hard for memers of his fan base. That doesn't say much for the intellectual and reasoning capacity of our troops, though, does it. Come to think of it, AD, you are a retired military guy, would you also happen to be a fan of Hannity??? It would explain a great deal.

Shi-poopy...the girl who's hard to get

Yes, sung by the inestimable "Buddy" Hackett, in one of his only (I hope) singing roles in film. -
What's the weather like where you are at?
Cheeseburger in Paradise replied to EC-Bills's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'd tell you "absolutely", except I am not entirely sure I will still be here in April. PM me when your trip gets closer, and if I'm here, great. Island life always looks alot better than it lives! -

85 degrees, slight trade winds out of the southeast, and sunny here in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.....America's paradise. -
Could you see Seneca Wallace as the qb
Cheeseburger in Paradise replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll go along with this. I watched Seneca while I was at Iowa State and hewas the QB then. very mobile, and against less than stellar programs, he looked pretty good. Whenever he faced a decent defense, he was less than adequate. I would want to see him perform over a longer period of time and against a variety of defenses before anointing an NFL long term starter. His game and strengths are so different from Hasselbecks, that may be why people are seeing his success and are enamored of his performance. Why the people on this board are so hung up on trying to find the next Kurt Warner hat is backing some team is beyond me. -
Even millionaire QB's have dysfunctional families
Cheeseburger in Paradise replied to Buftex's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Aside from the poster that mentioned Jack Kemp, locally we would also have Ed Rutkowski. I believe Steve Largent was a congressman from Oklahoma. JC Watts was elected in Oklahoma largely becauseof his reputation as a college football player. these are easy examples off the top of my head, the list goes on and on. I am not claiming that success on the football field makes you abwetter candidate for office, but it does help to raise a persons profile while running. -
Michael Schumacher Retires
Cheeseburger in Paradise replied to meazza's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Probably, although noticing the lack of Michael Schumachers recognizibility is essential to determine our ultimate fate. Reading many of the posts here would indicate that we, as a society, are most likely doomed to second call world citizenry. -
Michael Schumacher Retires
Cheeseburger in Paradise replied to meazza's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It's interesting that Michael Schumacher, one of the best known and wealthiest celeberity/athletes (the discussion regarding whether or not race drivers are athletes is best saved for another discussion) can go anywhere he wants in public in North Amercia and few, if any people, will recognize him. Another example of Amercias ethnocentric worldview. It will be our ultimate downfall. -
One of the best things to come from this game is that it is unlikely that CBS will ever assign its number one team (Nantz / SImms) or its number two team (Gumbel / Dierdorf) to call a Bills game, regardless of who they play. I think if I had to sit through a game listening to Dierdorf ball wash the Bill opponent, it would be enough to watch the game with the sound off. Unfortunately, once again we had to listen to Danny boy kiss Rothelisburgers rear end yesterday. Uggh.

Canadian Babe of the Day

Unless, of course, she was Asian, then her name would be Irene. Think about it -
I would be willing to bet most people don't think it is about the safety and well being of 16 year old pages. It is about the weasel that tried to take advantage of his position when dealing with 16 year old pages. It is about the people that may have been aware of this activity, yet did nothing to stop it, or get rid of Foley when they initially were made aware of it. Of course it is not about the safety and well being of 16 MALE pages. That has already been compromised, and as far as Mr. Foley is concerned, is non existent. Good thing he is gone, maybe he will find a more age appropriate target f his desires in his "treatment center".

online poker ban?......wondeful
Cheeseburger in Paradise replied to taterhill's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I think our politicians should have bigger things to worry about. I also think our casino lobbyists may have something to do with this legislation, as online gambling does have an impact on their revenues. I think that was hinted at in the article. I don't need the government telling me when and how I can lose my money, Ican do that just fine on my own. Gambling is going to be around, regardless of the bumblings of the US government. I guess we will have to just play poker in person, kind of like we used to ten years ago. -

If I were you, I would stay at the community college until your spelling and usage improves. Otherwise, you might have to fall back on your career of being a tough guy.

I agree, the kid sounds lazy and unmotivated. Anybody that had paper route when they wereyounger (I delivered the NF Gazette for four years in the early seventies) will tell you that collecting was the worst part of the job. If I didn't collect, I didn't get paid, as newspaper delivery was done on a modified independent contractor basis back then. So when adults would lie, and avoid me to get out of paying for the paper, thinking they were screwing the Gazette, they were actually putting the screws to a 12 year old neighborhood kid. Kids can be a$$holes, but so can adults.
