  1. I actually debated there between whether to use Labatt or Molson, Molson just sounded better. I cannot choose sides between the two.
  2. I'm so sick of the Hurricane/Carolina apologists on these BUFFALO Bills boards. The Ottawa officiating was downright atrocious. In fact the main refs in both of the most outrageous games are no longer officiating in the playoffs as a result. Sorry that Jerry hit a little too close to home for some of you.
  3. Yeah, I would think that there should be some sort of lower tier option for a scumbag like this.
  4. I would agree that Dahmer deserved what he got. But eating people and being exceptionally short and weak are not equivalent. The guy is a dirtball and deserves incarceration. He doesn't deserve to be killed in prison because he's small. I think that's where the problem is. If you feel handcuffed to imprison someone because the prison system cannot carry through a sentence without the prisoner being killed, then that's not good. The judge's opinion is questionable, but I wouldn't say unreasonable.
  5. Honestly, going into this series I had no ill will toward the Carolina fans and journalists. Now I absolutely can't stand them. They are the biggest bunch of whiners I've ever seen. Constant complaints about Buffalo fans and dismissive remarks about the game of hockey. Whining about diving, penalties, even the HSBC ice. Jerry hits the nail on the head for a lot of Buffalonians. We have a lot more connection to Canadian tradition than we do with frickin Carolina. Give me Molson or give me death.
  6. I think this shows the lack of control in our prison system when it is not safe for a convict to go to jail. A man doesn't deserve to be beaten to death in prison (which they must have thought was a very strong possibility) when all he was sentenced for was a couple of months or years. Obviously I don't know the details of the case, but I would imagine if it was especially heinous, he would not be put back on the streets.
  7. That's really interesting. It's like the total opposite of how the sabres have done it. Postseason tickets have been like ridiculously cheap for those with season tickets. And actually because of the dealsl, a lot of people have signed up for seasons next year because they got dibs on playoff tickets this year.
  8. It seems funny that they would have such a hard time selling out a Conference Finals Series if its such an amazing experience.
  9. Everett is fourth because he hasn't been healthy. He's still not fully recovered, especially mentally. With that said he should be totally ready in a month or two (its May for gosh sakes!). Hope he is able to play- he could be the athletic TE we've been sorely lacking. "Could be" being the operative words.
  10. You forgot to list Duke Preston as a second day pick. He seems like he could be pretty solid.
  11. Jabari, in my opinion, was the worst cornerback on the team, and he had a year of experience on King. He was targeted by all the other offenses and just burned over and over again. King showed flashes of real skill.
  12. There are so many Carolinians on this board that making fun of you guys becomes impossible. If we make fun, we're making fun of all you guys except ex-Buffalonians and their kin.
  13. Oh, and I think Kiwaukee Thomas makes the team too. I think you need more than 4 cbs on a roster. Not sure who that would bump off though.
  14. Seems very unlikely that Ming will make the final roster as a FB. He's never played the position before. Maybe he'll make the practice squad. I don't like our LT depth if McFarland is the backup. He's stunk so far. Jerman is a much better player, though I don't know if he can play on the left side. Ignoring some of the depth chart stuff (Nall), and just focusing on the people that are on the roster, I might only exchange Peerless for Ming.
  15. how are we any more rebuilding than we were last year? I guess this year we're actually calling it rebuilding. The D can't be worse, and the Oline should be improved. He shouldn't do any worse than last year. You are right, we need to stick with him. I think Donahoe and Mularkey assumed that the defense would still be top notch last year and still viewed themselves as not grooming a qb, but trying to win as many games as possible regardless of long term interest.
  16. I've heard that in the Tampa 2, a larger SLB is not really as much a priority, and all 3 of the linebackers are supposed to be quite fast. The bears for example: Bears - Hunter Hillenmeyer - 238 lbs; and backup Ayanbedjo - 228 lbs I guess my point is that Crowell could play strong side in this defense, though it will depend on Spikes' condition
  17. I agree, there is only one problem- the first 4 people we drafter are not college graduates. Though they seem like smart guys devoted to winning football games- that's the important thing. Also they're really amazing athletes.
  18. I'm not sure "get out of jail free" cards really should apply to murderers. Though "Simspon out of USC" is hard to ignore.
  19. I like the pick a lot. Can't wait to see him in action.
  20. I think they genuinely believe that rookie O-Lineman are rarely ready to contribute- minus the occassional special player like Ferguson or maybe Davin Joseph- and they're not willing to break the bank on the splashy guard or center that command 10's of millions of dollars. Fowler and Reyes are both upgrades over Teague and Bennie. Gandy seemed adequate at LT and, without the sieve that is Bennie Anderson next to him, he might be even slightly more than adequate. While adequate is not all you hope for, good LTs are not in abundance. Peters is solid. Villarial is old but now we have a bit more depth and experience behind him in Preston (and Bennie, who's a better fit on the right anyway). Plus we have a new offensive system, which makes looking at last years production less reliable an indicator as to this year's status. Basically we hope for the best. I for one am not willing to advocate spending 50 million on a guard or center. It's just foolish.
  21. Evans? What? With that I'd say it would be hard not to seriously consider taking him. Possible superstar at the most important position. And a winner despite his Wonderlick.
  22. Well that's just absurd. Golisano is a billionaire. They are few and far between, even in LA.
  23. fair enough! actually I'm no newbie, though hardly ever post- I just forgot my old login - I've been frequenting the site for probably 4 years
  24. seems pretty standard to me. Not really any worse than most of the other relatively lame official sites (see Patriots). Not sure why you would say ours is the worst other than plain and simple chronic negativism.
