  1. Why hasn't this been moved to either the off topic board or the politics board?
  2. I'm just shocked that Dave Moore is still in the league Otherwise Manuwai Kiwaukee Nate Eric Johnson London Kelsay I don't know much about those DTs or most or those OGs without spending time I can't afford to spend.
  3. Look to scoring, not to yards. Yards don't mean squat if you don't put up points. Just ask half the league that weekly puts up 400+ and loses in games that aren't even close. We're in the bottom half in scoring, that to me is a bigger issue - but the last few weeks the offense has come alive and we're getting 20+ points a game.
  4. It should be pointed out that Ellison was playing on the weakside in the beginning of the year since Crowell moved over to the strong side to replace Spikes. When Spikes came back, Crowell shifted back to weakside, and Ellison to the bench and then got hurt for three or four weeks. I think Ellison has been tremendous. He is a sure tackler (unlike Crowell) and can also be a big hitter.
  5. The article seems to be completely unaware that Gandy is no longer the Bills' left tackle.
  6. I've heard a lot of Steelers fans really unhappy with Starks this year. Some saying that they might draft a right tackle prospect in the first round because of it. I'm not really thrilled about either of these guys. They're both huge, and not all that great and will be well overpaid on the open market for playing RT. Gandy I would resign. I'm not sure what his plans are, but I doubt any teams will be wanting to have him as their starting tackle. He'd be virtually assured a starting job at LG if he stayed here. I wouldn't think that he would be that expensive.
  7. Minnesota is 14th in yards, but 26th in scoring. We rank 25th. Pts are worth more than yards. The Bills score more than a team with McKinney, Hutchison, and Matt Birk on their O-line that plays in a garbage division. That's a whole lot of cash in the o-line for dismal scoring. Obviously their terrible QB and receivers that can't catch play a role.
  8. recall that JP had a big statistic day the first time we played the Jets - 22/38 328 yards, 1 touchdown and an interception. Yeah, and we lost that game.
  9. Yeah, cause the Minnesota offense looks great with Hutchinson
  10. I'd eat my shoe if this guy is picked in the first round. Probably 3rd at the absolute earliest and much more likely 2nd day. We'll see exactly how big he is at the combine and how well he's really able to move. I wouldn't object to having him. It would be nice to have a guy that can do some damage offensively from the FB position. Could maybe even use as a bit of an H-back if he can catch the ball.
  11. they also disregard how the RG position has been in flux, with an injured Villareal and Duke Preston.
  12. That rabbit story is simply hilarious. I picture him shouting it all fired up, and it making no sense at all. That guy is great.
  13. I like the cover 2 - we just need a big DT who can move like a smaller one. A dominant talent in the middle. Having two big fat guys in the middle is all fine and good, but there is a reason that we have been getting pressure on the qb this year and haven't in years past. We are getting pressure from the middle.
  14. what is a "high-motor" rb? I guess you mean a guy that kind of runs hard and hits the whole hard and gets extra yards? You're right I think though. I don't think Willis is exactly the kind of back that the offense is designed for. But he is still our best back. Sounds like you want Travis Henry. I wish Maurice Drew-Jones was on our team, that guy is sweet. He seems high motor to me
  15. From his comments over the last week, it's clear that he really was unhappy last year. We've got to try hard and resign him. Otherwise we're just going to have to spend a good chunk of change for a starting caliber CB anyway.
  16. well he's now at 20, but they still have him behind some quarterbacks that are playing terrible football right now that are losing games - Eli, Big Ben, Grossman, Delhomme. It's just not reflecting the way the QB's are actually playing- which I believe is the whole point of these weekly ranking things.
  17. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2678546 Somehow Eli went up two spots from last week .... nuff said. Also Jay Cutler is ranked 27th. Has he ever even thrown a pass in the NFL? ESPN - where name recognition and marketability surmounts any kind of objective reality
  18. They were talking about it on the tv broadcast a bit. It was funny cause they had just been complementing one of the Jax rbs for pushing Gerrard from behind to get a first down. I've never seen it called and assume it exists to prevent extreme situations like throwing a guy over a pile or jumping on the back of someone as they run down the field. That and in the event that it would benefit the Pats in the playoffs, ala tuck rule.
  19. I just wish he would get a little more pumped on big plays. He's much more subdued than Van was and without AVP to provide some fire, the broadcast is a bit dull. Just listen to the touchdown call last week.
  20. It was Pennington, I watched the replay a few times, he was shuffling back and forth looking for someone to block and he bumped into JP just as he was throwing. Pretty bad luck, but luckily canceled out by Royal's play.
  21. Must resign Nate, London and Gandy (to play guard, he's doing a fine job there, JP said in the press conference that he's the leader of the OL, and in a pinch can play LT): In the first 3 rounds I'd like to see a DT, an OG, and a big receiver. DT - ideally Alan Branch, maybe instead Frank Okam or Pitcock (though he isn't really big), I like Kareem Brown out of the U in the late rounds. OG - whoever. shouldn't use a 1st here though. WR - really won't know until after the combine as to where the big receivers stand- a lot of the big guys end up being too slow for the pros. Samardzija and Dwayne Bowe might be slow as sh**. Jarrett looks like an absolute stud though. Johnson will be long gone by our pick. The TEs aren't supposed to be great this year and I would only draft one in the first if they were an unusual talent at the position. OLB also a possibility - Posluszny? (character guy, I'm not sure how good he actually is though) I think it's wait and see regarding a tackle. It looks like Pennington can play. He's kind of like Peters in a lot of ways: all the physical tools, not a lot of experience.
  22. He seems to be in the regular rotation at DE. Plays DT in obvious passing downs with Triplett. Is always really fired up and seems to get the guys going. I think he's been a great addition.
  23. Looks like Everett might be a lost cause. That knee seems to have ruined him. I seriously doubt he's on the roster next year. I feel bad for the guy. Hopefully he can turn things around and be a player here or somewhere else.
