  1. Brian Leonard - best video I could find of him, the highlights start at about the 50 second mark Is he a RB? is he a FB? Doesn't matter, he's pretty good at whatever it is that he does.
  2. Phew. Now our hands are not as tied on draft day.
  3. Another thing is that I could easily see us taking more than one back in this year's draft.
  4. I don't get why he's soft. He started every game for the Cowboys last year and 12 the year prior.
  5. I noticed the 9 receptions this year too, but the previous year he had 35 receptions, so the guy must be able to catch.
  6. he's a solid back, can run and catch; has speed. I would probably be willing to give up one of our 3rds for him. Would be a cheap and reliable solution, though not a complete answer to the rb need. I'd still look to draft a back in rounds 2-4 to push him and share the load.
  7. The board is suffering from too much Lynch tunnel vision. Let's take a look at some of our other options that will be around in rounds 2 through 4 Brandon Jackson, Nebraska - Tony Hunt, PSU - Antonio Pittman, OSU - http://youtube.com/watch?v=fMhonqcbXv8 Kenny Irons - Auburn (at the 1:48 mark) - http://youtube.com/watch?v=rzOQOOMId0c Michael Bush - Louisville (at 4:29 of same video as above) - http://youtube.com/watch?v=rzOQOOMId0c Darius Walker - ND (extremely lame tribute video) - http://youtube.com/watch?v=6h32lYOUksw of these guys I'm most impressed with Jackson, Hunt and Pittman
  8. hmm. Yeah, he doesn't look nearly as quick or fast as Reggie Bush to me. Though he is much bigger.
  9. So he's too big to play the cover two because he's not quick enough, but could be a DE in a 3-4? That doesn't make any sense at all.
  10. Ellison, despite his size, is probably one of the best tacklers and hitters on the team. Crowell and Whitner should take some lessons.
  11. would have liked Rod Hood. We need another guy that can at least challenge for a starting spot. I agree about Ellison. I could easily see him starting. I think the coaches think that too and that might make Willis a more unlikely option in Rd. 1.
  12. Willis is a fine RB. He just wasn't the kind of back we wanted and he was going to be out of here after next year. We don't need to be so insistent that he's a terrible back, because he's not.
  13. The Baltimore media and fans are some of the most supremely overconfident I've witnessed. I went to the week 17 game and afterwards on the radio they were only talking about whether they would be able to beat San Diego in the AFC Championship game (which the answer was a uniform yes) but totally writing off the first playoff game altogether where they would be playing either the Colts or Patriots
  14. I think you might be understating our need at CB. I would say RB and CB are our top needs. Ellison showed that he can play capably as a starter last year. They think Crowell can play in the middle. The needs then at lb are for depth or for upgrade. We need a starting CB and a starting RB. That said I still would like Willis or Okoye in rd. 1.
  15. i would love to get both Hall and Willis in the first, but I kind of doubt it's possible. I think we only have the ammo to get into the mid to late 20s for a second 1st and I think that Willis will be gone by then. From all the stories Marv tells about his push to take Conlan back in the 80s, I wonder if we don't trade back in and take Poz, who may likely still be there in the late 20s. I'd rather have Willis though and I hope you're right,
  16. only better in that he was healthy. Brown is a good player and if he wasn't injured all the time he would be a decent starter. A-Train and Chris Brown could probably get us through this year if we really wanted to. We'd then probably take a back in the 3rd and see how things shake out.
  17. the article isn't wrong - McGahee is a significant upgrade for them at rb. But we got good value for him this year rather than getting nothing for him next year.
  18. did you just classify the 3rd round as a "later round" An extra 3rd this year and next both give us another 1st day pick to really get some talent, but even more it gives us the flexibility to move around in the draft for the next two years
  19. Ko Simpson was a 4th round pick, Landry may well be a top 10. A lot of people apparently agree that Landry should have a better career. I'm happy with Ko though. Our safeties are set for the foreseeable future.
  20. for a low 2nd rounder - he's probably worth it, especially siince they already have two first rounders. He was the Dolphins best receiver and made me nervous every time he had the ball in his hands. Belichick sees a guy that fits his offensive system perfectly. I'm not happy about this at all.
  21. well he's a perfect safety - he probably wouldn't be a perfect CB, or maybe even that great of a CB. I generally think that it's always a big gamble to bank on a guy to be able to play a different position in the pros. Landry might very well be a top-10 pick after the combine he just had
  22. Nate = bigger hitter (remember when he knocked Brady's head off? Ah memories) Winfield = better tackler
  23. As an old Jamal fan - the guy is done. He runs like a 35 year old back and can't break a tackle anymore
