  1. and nothing threatens the middle of the field like a 4th round TE that can't block Teyo was a 2nd rounder - then wasted away in Oakland Courtney Anderson - also a former receiver - productive before wasting away in Oakland
  2. we must feel that our corner depth sucked - and the lineman and TE's available weren't worth a 4th
  3. if a guy can't block, why not just draft a big receiver?
  4. I think we go interior lineman in the first in the 4th - Scheuning at guard or Red Bryant at DT
  5. unfortunately the good TE's were all gone by our 3rd round pick. The guys left are unlikely to be upgrades over Teyo or Courtney Anderson.
  6. yeah - he's got a serious accent and a funny way of saying words - but what he actually says isn't anything dumb (like Willis)
  7. thank you! sweet relief - ESPN is so bad it's pathetic
  8. its amazing that the big draft winners every year on draft day happen to be the teams with the most picks...
  9. there's just not a TE worth taking here, let alone moving up to get - only one is Cottam and he is a huge risk pick. Don't be surprised if we dont' take a TE at all. We've added Teyo and Anderson (both tall, fast, receiving TEs) and we may be content to see what they can contribute along with Royal and Schouman
  10. Chris Ellis - DE - I've seen him go to us in some mocks
  11. what is the time limit for these picks? - they don't have any clock going
  12. that's what really gets to me about the draft lineman regardless of all logic folks. We have needs for a starting receiver and serious need for help at corner, and they want to pick players at positions of no need high in the draft. They assume that a 1st rounder will automatically upgrade NFL proven players like Brad Butler and Langston Walker, who both played very very well and are good NFL starters. games are won and lost in the trenches - but whenever there is a draw, we lose because on offense no one's open and on defense we can't cover their receivers
  13. agree with everything but the Steve Young part. He seems to be the only one with a brain. I like Berman, but really only because he likes the Bills. The second round coverage was just terrible. It could be that they just aren't equipped to handle the faster pace yet - they have interviews and little BS pieces on prospects, and it doesn't fit into the time frames anymore.
  14. they're bringing in a new offense - pure West Coast system like Seattle. Needed weapons that fit the attack. They've had receiver problems for years - might as well solve it in a day.
  15. DT - either Marcus Harrison, Dre Moore, Red Bryant, or Pat Sims OL - Zuttah TE - nobody worth it, imo LB - Dan Connor, Xavier Adibi
  16. personally, i don't think there is a TE worth taking in the 3rd anymore. I could see Doucet being a good option. Earl Bennett is also a good option. There are also several solid DT's still on the board - Marcus Harrison, Dre Moore, Red Bryant, and Pat Sims
  17. the philosophy of the media is simple - if the Patriots do it, it has to be right
  18. ESPN is basically going all commercials now - their second round coverage stinks. Wish I got NFLN
  19. Chilo Rachal - either Sweed, Hardy, Kelly, Fred Davis and DeSean Jackson will be there if we want them
