  1. he actually said Fitzpatrick gives us the best chance to win this week at Jacksonville frankly I found the press conference a breath of fresh air
  2. I was thinking the same thing. Also the way he was clutching his head on the sideline looked like may have been more than just frustration.
  3. I think this is pretty much right. Trent's not trying to make the throws and he's not evading pressure at all. It just seems he cannot get on the same page with receivers unless its a route 10 yards or less or is a streaking deep ball straight down the sideline. Something really bad must have shown up in the film. The Titans have been terrible in their secondary this season - I have to think that there must have been people running free all over the field in the 2nd half and he just not looking (or only pretending to look).
  4. that's not exactly true about Cowher. He loved trick plays on offense and even used Slash at QB quite a bit. It wasn't nearly as conservative a style as Schott.
  5. pretty much any unis we've ever worn would be an improvement over what we have now
  6. its good. I'm glad the History Channel is doing something worth watching. It had basically turned into all Hitler, apocalypse, and ghosts all the time.
  7. I kind of prefer the interior O-line we have now to the terrible giants we've had the previous ten years - big lines don't work like they used to as Joe Gibbs discovered when he returned to the Skins. Definitely need better, tougher, tackles. Agree on defensive side - especially at DT. I've always preferred two giants in the middle.
  8. As a DC resident I feel obliged to point out that this kind of stuff is not really fair since DC is almost entirely an inner city demographic (not even first ring suburbs would count since geographically its so small) . The statistics when put up against a whole state are more than skewed. It's much more fair to compare it with rates in other cities - and really it should be central metro areas since city borders vary wildly across the country (see Indianapolis or Las Vegas compared to Buffalo - they can expand forever, Buffalo is stuck with lines drawn in the early 19th century)
  9. he has a similar background. I hope he coaches like Tomlin.
  10. so basically he had nothing to offer
  11. I was thinking the exact same thing. really young coach wins a superbowl and goes to the booth for a few decades. I think Gruden is great as a color announcer.
  12. as someone that watches both the Skins and the Bills each week - no they wouldn't.
  13. I don't trust college coaches generally. Especially ones that owe their success to strategies that have historically only worked in the college game. I'd like to see a coach that has actually enjoyed a winning career record as a head coach in the NFL.
  14. nah, but we're in that zone of teams that can easily lose to anybody, including the truly dreadful teams but are also capable of beating pretty decent teams here and there. Kind of like the Redskins.
  15. immediately, but what's the point (or rather, who does it hurt)? all the fans are happy he's fired - the team was already playing like garbage. I think the vast majority of fans like that he stirred things up
  16. agreed - the Peters trade was a good one, it also netted us our two starting guards for the foreseeable future. it's strange that Oher dropped as far as he did
  17. short answer - Roscoe Parrish long answer - their defense isn't totally incompetent so we couldn't score points - especially when we were starting at our own 10 or less.
  18. Jauron is well respected as a coach in the NFL. Just not a head coach where with rare exception he's been simply mediocre. Millen's failures are unprecedented in the history of the league.
  19. Clausen's got a way better arm than Quinn but yeah, he hasn't been impressive in the second half of this season. I also have trouble getting past the fact that he looks like a spoiled brat.
  20. the people saying Quinn would be good with a better supporting cast must be Notre Dame homers or just fall in love with highly touted draft prospects. He has shown absolutely nothing in this league. In the history of pro football has there been a QB as jacked as Quinn who throws the ball down the field so meekly? His muscles I guess were useful in diving at Suggs knees following a pick, that's about it. He has a FAR weaker arm than Edwards and worse accuracy - and Edwards isn't very impressive with either. Quinn should be out of the league as early as next year with the way he plays. Losman has more upside than this piece of refuse.
