  1. he'll be totally unable to stretch the field with his weak, inaccurate arm and painfully slow delivery. He's not that fast either. How could he ever run a two minute offense in the NFL if he can't throw? I only like him as a wildcat type option, but even then it's gonna be a tough road cause he's not a guy that will be able to make around the edge in the NFL. He'll be overdrafted and by a good team that already has a good quarterback.
  2. I like him but he does too much celebrating on second down stops.
  3. I think this thread is actually about which is a better idea for us: a first round qb or a first round left tackle? i think it depends who's available when we pick.
  4. it seems to me there are a bunch of possible QBs this year, not just one: Jake Locker Colt McCoy Sam Bradford Tony Pike Jimmy Clausen
  5. I thought it was a well coached game. We played disciplined but our linebackers can't match up to their offensive line in the running game and we desperately need to stay healthy and improve our talent on the O-line. Also need a better QB. basically everything we already knew. Amazingly we still had the ball in our hands to win at the end of the game.
  6. is he actually making $9 million a year?
  7. that tax isn't even high historically. Personally I don't mind taxes that try and avoid aristocracies by taxing the extremely rich dead.
  8. money wouldn't be the issue for the Redskins, Vinny Cerrato would be
  9. I like both teams - which would be sacrilege if I was actually from Oregon may the better team tonight win
  10. holy crap - that guy isn't just obese he's a giant. He's a foot taller than everyone else in sight. Can he play DT?
  11. Singletary has turned Vernon Davis's career around. The reason they're struggling this year is the quarterbacking. They just crushed the Jaguars by the way.
  12. Tomlin wasn't under Cowher. He was under Childress as a coordinator and under Dungy as a Defensive Backs coach
  13. right now my semi-realistic ideal (assuming no dream scenarios of Cowher etc.) would be Fewell at HC, and if the Texans fire Kubiak, bring in Kubiak as a Offensive Coordinator. That second thing might take a lot of money and persuasion but I think his offense would be perfect for us.
  14. Obviously I want to watch how Fewell does over the remainder of the season before really making up my mind about him. However, if the team continues to perform as it has the last two weeks - I'm not sure what an old man big name coach can really bring you that he can't (assuming we still address the football operations side of things). He inspires, they play much more disciplined, he makes the calls that require guts. I guess it shouldn't have been too surprising. Over the past 3 seasons his defenses have never quit despite comatose offenses giving it no support, and little prospect of victory. They've been really the only reason we've even been competitive under Jauron
  15. Whitner deserves major props. He was a difference maker in the running game. Without him we would have gotten run over like the first time out against Miami.
  16. the ghost of Langston Walker? He's not anywhere else and who else would be that giant?
  17. changing the culture to a winning one (through wins) is more important than maybe having a better chance at drafting a particular player who may or may not end up stinking. The vast majority of the players on the roster will be back next year and we want them to know how to win games. Last year's 7 and 9 was worse than one this year would be since we basically lost all our games down the stretch last year and went into the offseason as a team that fell apart.
  18. good to hear. there are over 50 minarets currently under construction within blocks of my house. Also there are way too many church steeples in this town, they make me uncomfortable - I hope we can outlaw them too - all those clanging bells and creepy long shadows freak the heck out of me
  19. drove down 15 yesterday - never seen so many dead deer
  20. here's the simple reason I think Claussen will be very good - I keep wanting him to fail and be lousy each week, yet I can't help coming away impressed by the way he plays. He reminds me quite a bit of Matt Ryan. bring in Golden Tate too - not sure where he's projected to go though
  21. that's a sick dude. Money is a hell of a drug.
  22. they immobilized the leg on the ground in an inflatable cast. I'm guessing a stretcher is only the procedure when its a possible spinal issue needing full body immobilization.
  23. Fewell described Spencer Johnson's play on sunday as "awesome" - so I don't see him seeing less time until Stroud gets back.
  24. Claussen yes, Weiss no
  25. they need a better offensive line. this year they can finally protect the quarterback a little, but can't run at all. Also the defensive line isn't as dominant as it should be with the talent they have with Mario Williams and Okoye - Bill Kollar's screaming and stamping his feet doesn't seem to translate on the field.
