DaQuan Jones is BACK - will play vs the Patriots

I got banned from there when I tried to tell the lynch mob to wait and let the process play out. One fan wanted everyone to donate to a charity to "force the team's hand to release him". Obviously I wasn't righteous enough for them. Screw them. I doubt they learned their lesson.

I totally agree with this. I've been feeling like this has been planned as a stadium-on-a-budget from the beginning. Especially with the early sentiment seemingly being so dismissive of even debating having a roof or a dome. And, with the patronizing "A roofless stadium represents Buffalo" bravado or whatever heartstrings they were trying to pull. In pro-wrestling terms, "a cheap pop". It honestly gives me an unsettling feeling about the future of the team in the area. Another benefit to having a dome that people may hastily discount is its attractiveness to free agents. With Poyer's recent comments, I think more people should realize that the Bills should do whatever they can to make Buffalo as attractive a destination as possible. As time goes on, and potentially more and more teams get domed stadiums, free agents and potential draft picks will have even less reason to be excited to be a Bill. Yeah, you cant change the weather, and good luck changing those taxes, but the workplace conditions are one thing they could've improved. It would increase comfort and player performance. I'm not a local, so I'm not trying to "spend other peoples' money" or anything, but it seems like somebody is holding back on making the new stadium something "special" (even with just the money they've already budgeted for). They're just trying to make it "good enough". Needless to say, I'm disappointed.

Old Buffalo Bills Message Board
SirusB replied to Floridagatorsbuffalobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Another BBMB refugee checking in. I miss it. It utterly romped. Chris Brown would post sometimes, and he even had his own emoji/smilie. 😂 -
Don't worry, the embarrassment I mentioned isn't on a personal level, but it is a part of 'fandom'. Isn't being "proud of your team" part of being a fan? Same as being embarrassed. Honestly, are you proud of your team right now?

They choked. Just being in the playoffs isn't good enough anymore. I'm sick of the embarrassing losses. I'm tired of "we will learn from our mistakes". At least these chokers get paid for losing, we're the ones who support them and look like chumps. Blown out in their own stadium in the biggest game in a while. Same old Bills. Flame me if you must, call me "not a REAL fan", but it was more fun when we sucked. You can't choke when you're expected to lose. Embarrassing all around.

My son said he had heard someone call them "The Legion of Whom?" since they were good, but nobody knew them.

If they defend the shield, they will have a job for life. Look at all the failed head coaches that end up having jobs for life. They bounce around team to team and still get paid better than most people. Look at Rob Ryan. One of their buddies will hire them to break down film for 100K a year. It's a club. Wake up. Edited: "The average assistant coach in the NFL makes around $400,000 per season." as of Feb. 2020 https://finance.yahoo.com/news/wait-nfl-coaches-much-162011974.html Nobody is going to stop that gravy train to appease frustrated 'customers'.

And get blacklisted by the league? No coach is going to rock the boat when they're pretty much guaranteed a good paying job in some form in the NFL for the rest of their working life. The same goes for owners, they're all making money regardless of their team's success. Say the wrong thing, and the other owners will find a way to separate you from your team. And the players too, they'll just shut up and make their money, then hope to move on to a team that is "allowed" to have more success, or just ride it out all the way to the bank. Puts the phrase "I want to play for a contender" in a new light.

I agree. I think Coach was yelling at someone else. Maybe a ref? Beasley doesn't seem to act like he's the one getting the earful.
-
A lot of people on here calling Beasley out for being a drama queen are sure acting like drama queens themselves. It seems like people love the drama, controversy, and distraction that they claim they want to avoid.

Or was it intentional? Trying to give the new darlings a better chance to win? 🤔 -

Allen had 4 passing TDs and 1 rushing TD. Looks like someone messed up at NFL.com -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
SirusB replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yet another one of those 'super duper rare breakthrough infections'. But don't fret, as we all know, if he hadn't been fully vaccinated, he'd be in an ICU right now, begging for 'the jab', unconscious, while on a respirator. "I'm sorry AB, it's too late for that now..." *Shakes Pfizer pom-poms* -
Kurt Warner break down of Josh vs Pittsburgh week 1
SirusB replied to ILBillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's just a comfort issue. Last year, he was confident with his O-line, he usually had tons of time. He'd sometimes freeze in the pocket and just watch the play develop. Total confidence with his O-line. Dawkins was hospitalized, very recently, and struggled against the Steelers week 1. That has to shake Allen, when Dawkins becomes a liability vs being a strength. As Josh's confidence in Dawkins' recovery, (and the line as a whole) increases, I think he will be able to focus more on his mechanics and reads, instead of worrying that he will be blindsided by a defender that his LT (or someone else) whiffed on. -
