  1. Actually I heard that the NFL network is looking to diversify programming somewhat. Big Mike is being considered to host the first NFL cooking show.
  2. Rob Johnson and Drew Bledsoe have proved that getting sacked is often not due to a bad offensive line.
  3. He might have gone dark with the hope that KH remains the backup. His next opportunity to rise would be if Losman goes down with injury. Nall is 1 interception away from being #3.
  4. The Bears board has just as many interesting characters as this one. What a country!
  5. Could this be a counterfeit?
  6. Darned right. We can only hope that he rubs off on Willis.
  7. Does anyone still consider New England a top-tier team? They have lost a lot of talent the past couple years, and while sweatshirt Bill has led his team to overcome a lot, they don't scare me the way they once did. I think they're very vulnerable and are a 1st round playoff loser this year. The Bills could surprise them in 1 of the 2 games.
  8. Just more motivation for Losman and the Bills. I love it!
  9. Let's hope the Bill's defense keep doesn't make Barlow a star twice this year.
  10. Maybe there will be a decent DT that gets cut at final cutdown time that the Bills can grab. Maybe an older vet that can give us a year even as a backup. Wiliams could be starting.
  11. Tonight coming home a deer was hit not far in front our car. Really. As we passed the scene slowly, the deer lay dead in the road with that "what happened" look in the eyes. Looked just like RJ after a sack. I'll bet if we had stopped we would have seen the deer rise to its feet ready for the next play.
  12. I think Willis likes to look at his 6-pack abs in the mirror.
  13. Yes, they're usually the guys that are still running to the ball after the whistle blows, but boy that effort looks good.
  14. I doubt you could get 2 pencils and a rubber band for A-Train. He'll struggle to make the Bills, just watch over the next couple weeks. Gates on the other hand is a talent that the Bills won't let go. If he's healthy, expect him to be #2 and get some playing time during the year. Willis right now has to look over his shoulder at this guy. Not based on 1 pre-season game, but based on all he's done in the offseason and thus far in camp and in the game Saturday. Really.
  15. I'm not going to defend Holcomb's ability to play QB, but he has been anything but a disruption. At least publically, he demonstrates a great team-first attitude. I can't recall once that he complained about not being the starter or getting playing time. He played lousy against Carolina and took it like a man. Until Nall shows something I think Holcomb is a good #2. Certainly his play overall last year was better than what he showed in very brief action last Saturday, and there is no reason to think that his play has slipped dramatically from that based on 4 plays.
  16. Ahhh.. If you only knew what I know. Keep watching the Gates vs McGahee battle. It's heating up. Willis has a serious challenge on his hands. Let's see if he can/will respond.
  17. Funny stuff. Seriously, it was a nice surprise to see Williams play so well. Maybe we can grab a late cut from another team that can help us at DZT as well.
  18. Gates is the best RB on this team right now. Quicker and runs with more effort than Willis showed. Willis looked like Willis of last year.
  19. McGahee, no. Right now Lionel Gates is the best RB on this team. Willis needs to get his butt in gear. He looked indecisive again and did not show the 2nd effort that Gates showed and Gates looks quicker. If JP picks up where he left off in the Carolina Game he shjould do well.
  20. The whole competition thing is a big smoke screen. If they didn't have confidence in JP, don't you think they would have grabbed Jay Cutler in the draft? Then they could have set him free without the baggage that he was their guy that they drafted. They had months to look a film from last year and on draft day must have already felt that JP could get the job done with more playing time. The made the commitment to JP in April. Otherwise you have to figure they would have gone after a better QB pospect than Craig Nall in either the draft or free agency.
  21. Gates. Gates might be good enough to push Willis for a little playing time.
  22. Everyone should enjoy watching KH start on Saturday. It'll be his last start this year unless someone gets hurt.
