  1. You nailed it. Hate to sound trite, but running and stopping the run was the story today.
  2. No. He's just not that good. Not in his decision making particularly when running in traffic and not in his effort. Looks to me like he gives up on plays too easy and/or doesn't play with the utmost determination on some plays. He looked hungrier last week after the injury. Maybe he still isn't feeling well. He was sick Friday. Bottom line IMO is he's not a back that will make the Bills a contender regardless of the O-line. Sorry, but I don't see "the fire in his bellly" often enough.
  3. I agree. I think Coach Marty will have an old Cleveland Browns t-shirt on beneath his Chargers clothing. I think he'll return to the Kevin Mack/Ernest Byner mentality and run the heck out of the ball today asking his QB to throw very little. That and they'll play tough "D" and make a quick exit to the airport to get back to California. As much as I want to be wrong, I think the Chargers just have too much talent on both sides for the Bills to win. No way the Bills shut down LT today IMO.
  4. Now that is funny!
  5. Well with Nick Saban as coach, they could be in the top 10 before the end of the season.
  6. They should grab Joe Theisman. He's the best!
  7. He's not bad. He's just not a complete player because of his weakness in the run game. Are you telling me that you'd rather have Schobel at DE rather than Phil Hansen in his prime? I doubt you'll find much support anywhere for that. Hansen IMO was without question the more complete every down player. That doesn't make Schobel bad. Kelsey and Denney splitting time have double the tackles that Schobel has for the year and Schobel is nearly an every down player.
  8. Yes and don't forget Joel Giambra
  9. The post is wildly inconsistent. Ah heck, it's the holiday season. Have another.
  10. One of the finer posts for the month of November.
  11. Tell you what Aaron, when you start making tackles for losses in the run game and more tackles in general, you can consider yourself underrated. Until then, you are well paid for your 12 sacks per year and have yet to prove you are a complete player in my book. One could argue that the combination of Kelsay and Denney have outplayed you this year. They've equaled your sacks and have more than double your tackles so far this season.
  12. The Bills aren't getting much from Peerless price or Reed who has been hurt. Peerless did of course make a terrific play to win the game two weeks ago. Is there no opportunity to get Sam on the field? He's the only wideout with size on the Bills and he had a nice preseason. Anyone else want to see him on the field from time to time? Anyone else want to see what he's got besides great special teams play?
  13. I'd have to rate Spikes as a big question. He's not playing well, not making plays. Neither are the 2 (or 3) tackles in the run game. In this Tampa style defense, the tackles playing in gaps should be making stops on running plays. I rarely see that. Schobel looks like a better pass rusher than run stopper to me. The Bills are still 2-3 players away in their front 7 IMO.
  14. Or maybe this..... http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...6lr%3D%26sa%3DN
  15. Any form of written communication is a reflection on the writer. Since few of us meet face to face, we gain an impression of each other from what is written here. If people don't care how they are perceived by others, then continue writing garbage. For many of you, based on what and how you write, I have a mental picture that looks something like this..... http://www.geocities.com/msavad/my_bum.jpg
  16. I would want players who play that way all of the time, not just when they face a bit of pressure. Willis has the look of someone that has to operate under pressure in order to give maximum effort. He did prove that he could come back from his knee injury and proved that he could win a starting position. If he remains healthy, his next big piece of motivation is a new contract. I'd like to see him trying to prove something every time he touches the ball. He has not looked that way to me often this year. Good to see him back this past week with a solid game.
  17. I've got to defend pepsi from all of the sarcasm. This is one of the more newsworthy pieces of football news this week. Thanks for posting.
  18. Football is not meant to be played in the desert or indoors for that matter. He was doomed in both places.
  19. I saw it as sarcasm also, and my reply was also sarcasm. I knew it was mispelled deliberately. Here is where I extend my lead. It's "you're" not "your". I could score points on this correction multiple times a day on this board. 2-0 baby!
  20. Let's blame Irv Weinstein for that.
  21. To read and write. The internet does not discriminate and has provided many people who were unheard in the past a forum and a voice. Many of them should remain unheard.
  22. Someone give Roscoe Parish a ride to the stadium Sunday in the snow, and get him some good long underwear and a reserved spot on the heated bench.
  23. Yeah, expcet the line to grow.
  24. He is a 1 man wrecking machine. Most dominant defensive player in the NFL IMO.
