  1. The NFL has many thugs and these guys often get nothing more than a slap on the wrist when they break the law. They should be held to a higher standard and more of them should be banned from football when they have repeat offenses. Banned. In many professions that is what happens. You get fired and it becomes very difficult to regain employment once you have a criminal record. I don't have the numbers, but I would wager that the crime rate among NFL players is higher than that of society as a whole. That's ridiculous for guys who are so highly compensated.
  2. If Oatmeal good for you and if Oatmeal = parity, then Parity good for you.
  3. Big glass of water and some Excedrin. A bit too much Bourbon last night.
  4. I'd be happy if Lionel Gates was still on the roster rather than Shaud, although Shaud would occupy a little less space on the bench.
  5. That remains to be seen. Nate I'm sure wants to put himself in the best bargaining position which is to be a free agent at the end of the year. Nate holds all the cards.
  6. Yes, that shows excellent progress from last year when he would have entirely bad games. I'll settle for 1 good half per game this year and good complete games next year.
  7. No time for that, but he made that comment in public and I heard it or read it. You can choose to ignore it. To the best that I can recall it was during an off-season interview on the NFL network, or it was from that infamous interview that was done by the Orlando reporter that discussed "baby mommas".
  8. Sadly this might be the most accurate statement on this topic. I did hear Willis in an off-season interview say that he really didn't care about football.
  9. I agree with you. He appears to have the talent, but not the heart or the mind each and every week.
  10. My strong hunch is that he takes Marv's advice and we'll all see a difference in his running approach this week. That's good because it should make a difference and help the team to win.
  11. You'll need to support your "he's a stud" and "premier RB" claims with some supporting data or somehow qualify your opinion. The line appears to be sub-par, and many would agree that the team has greater needs to solve. He doesn't look anything close to a "premier RB" to me. We'll certainly know how the Bills management feels about him come contract time.
  12. I think it's far too early to call either one of them a bust.
  13. I believe Marv was a RB at Coe college. He should know, right? A photo of Marv "slamming it in" from his college days would be priceless.
  14. Wonderful sarcasm!
  15. I believe that those of you that complained on this board about the time change have been heard. NFL management has your best interests in mind. Or Nick Saban complained that his players would get home too late.
  16. Will do
  17. I'd like to see the Bills upgrade the position, obviously not this year. A lot of my "bitching" is in response to the negativity or other ridiculous statements I read on this board. There is so much crap posted here, but I guess that what makes it real and fun.
  18. How about neither?
  19. No, I can't imagine that.
  20. Get over it. It's always been about the money. You have no God given right to watch a game on TV. The blackout rule makes perfect sense from a business standpoint and football is a business. You think you should be able to watch a concert from the HSBC arena from your family room on the tube without buying a ticket to the show? Football is no different. So many people on this board worry about the Bills moving and then complain about the blackout rule. Well you can't have it both ways. Teams that aren't supported financially won't stay in their locations very long. The teams pay over $100 million a year in salaries to players not including all of the other operating expenses. The teams have to make money or they won't survive. Ticket revenue is an important part of their income. Many of the owners league-wide have huge investments in their teams. Don't be critical that they make a profit or that they work to maximize it. This is a capitalist society. Find a way to take advantage of that.
  21. Looks like Ed in all facets of his life is an expert in people doing the wrong thing. He's made a grea career out of blowing the whistle on people that screw up.
  22. A train won't elude many defenders, but most defenders would likely move out of the way.
  23. I question why Shaud is even on the roster.
  24. Looks like a large mechanical penis.
