Hold on. No help on the D-line? I beg to differ. None of the tackles on this team have proved they are starting caliber. Good depth or rotational players, but none that are headed to the pro bowl any time soon. The middle of the Bills defense scares nobody. They need a difference maker in there. If you can't get opposing teams off the field on 3rd and short with some regularity, it will be a long season no matter what the rest of the team looks like IMO.

Maybe one of us can make a nice career out of analyzing the analysts. Just apply a little hindsight to all the projections made by Kiper and others, give them a score card, show the boom and bust players after a 2-3 years in the league. Some network will love this.

Given the great history of those who have worn #21 for the Bills, I think now would be a good time to retire that number. The most recent #21 is a rather forgettable fellow. Let's forget him.

Heck no. Be aggressive and go for players that can be star material. Bills have enough warm bodies on their team. Can't fill the entire roster with underdogs. Need some difference makers.

I for one want to see the Bills be aggressive in this draft. That means getting as many potential "blue chip" players as possible. They need to add some difference makers to this team IMO, not just more bodies. They have added several of those over the past year. I'd rather see them make the effort move up if they really covet a player. Quality over quantity.

He has never played in a Pro Bowl. Never will without serious attitude adjustment. Ravens might be able to extract that from him. Buffalo couldn't. As far as this topic goes, the Bill are very thin at LB. Gotta add at least a couple before training camp. Hopefully at least one that is a starter.

Willis will never get to the prow bowl unless his own level of commitment is raised significantly.

Wow, I'd have to strongly disagree. One guy that you mention (Crowell) looks like he can play. Ellison still very unproven and Spikes has a long way to go to regain his old form.

Well, he is a different person altogether. We aren't dealing with robots here. Different attitude, preparation, effort, decision making plus in the NFL he'll be on a different team coached by different coaches calling different plays against different opponents behind a different offensive line.

Either way, the result is what is important. Looks to me like the Bills made an upgrade.

Regardless of where Crowell plays in '07, the Bills need to add an impact player at LB. Not a position of strength on this team now.

He put the guy on the field that he thought gave the Bills the best chance to win at the time. In the end, the Bills decided that even he (Willis) was not good enough for one reason or another. Hopefully the upgrade is coming soon.

While the Bills still have a few holes to plug, they need to get an impact player or two. Their roster is filling out to an extent with guys that are solid, but if you're gonna win, you need a back and another receiver on the roster that can make plays. They also need an impact player at DT and Linebacker. I'd rather see them use the 12th pick to get one of those guys and maybe even package an extra pick or two to move up higher in the 2nd round if another impact player is there.
