  1. This is a coaching problem. He's probably doing what he's told. Does anyone on this board, ANYONE feel like any Bills QB can flourish with Dick Jauron at the helm? I think not. Best thing for JP is to get the heck out of Buffalo. Trent, at least has a chance to do well for the Bills in the post-Jauron era which should begin while Trent is still under contract to the Bills.
  2. I think Trent will start and finish about 10 games this year for the Bills.
  3. Make a written note for yourself of all the bad things you feel about JP as a QB. Put it in a safe place where you can find it in a several years. Keep track of his career wherever he goes. At the end of his career, find your note and read it. I think you're in for a surprise.
  4. You have hit nail on head IMO. A defensive coordinator that can plan to rush an extra player or two knowing that the QB will read the blitz and throw short is a happy defensive coordinator. As a defense they don't have to fear getting beat deep which means the defense can move up toward the line of scrimmage and cover the short stuff. Helps to defend the run game too. If you watch a Colts game, the defensive alignments that play against the Colts offense look a lot different than what the Bills face. They're playing off the line of scrimmage defending the deep ball because they know if they send the kitchen sink at Peyton and don't get to him, he'll chuck a 30 yarder to Marvin or one of the other guys (which includes the tight end going deep at times). As long as the Bills want to play the checkdown keep it close to the line of scrimmage chicken shyt passing offense, expect very little daylight for Marshawn in the running game. This is Dick Jauron football. He plays cautious on both sides of the ball. Conservsative (not an attacking style) offense, and stay back don't rush too many players and don't press the receivers defense. This IMO gives the opponent an advantage on both sides of the football. Certainly if you're going to play more aggressively you have to have the personnel to do that and the Bills may not have that talent yet, but even if/when they do have that talent, don't expect Dicky to change his stripes. I don't think there is a more conservative, cautious, risk averse coach in the NFL and not taking risks is risky in the game of football. Trent's abilities seem to be a good fit for this cautious style.
  5. Mama's boy. He didn't want to be far from home.
  6. The title of this thread should be corrected to read "If the Bills keep Jauron....We will go NOWHERE".
  7. You're not crazy. The Bills need difference makers. He could be one.
  8. Both are in poor coaching situations, so the answer might be neither. Good chance though that both will be playing for different coaches in a year or two.
  9. Purely a non-expert opinion, but I would start by hiring a new head coach. One that has a mindset of winning games from the moment the ball is kicked until the last second has run off the clock. One that teaches his players to dominate the opponent. One that goes after the other team from snap to whistle. One that is willing to take some risks.
  10. Can't believe nobody got #8 and #9. JP Losman and Lee Evans.
  11. Well wait a minute. Look at the Bills passing game, the chicken shyt head coach, QB that gets rid of the ball at the first sign of pressure or coverage and a "manage the game not to lose" mindset. Handing the ball off keeps the head coach sleeping at night. I wouldn't be surprised to see them take a couple RBs and tight ends. WRs are overrated on this team.
  12. If the Bills had a head coach and a QB both with a mindset to throw to WR's more than a few yards down the field, these players might help. DJ is all about defense, even when his offense is on the field.
  13. No need for him to rot in hell, but leaving could be good for all concerned.
  14. I like some of the player talent the Bills are accumulating. I'm ready to bury the 2008 Bills season already and look forward to the post-Jauron era.
  15. He looks like more than that to me. Shows a lot of leadership and detemination on the field. Had great numbers last year and can use his feet when needed. Also looks like a tough guy that can take a hit.
  16. My concern is whether or not the Bills and the offense they have can take advantage of a good WR.
  17. Don't expect the Turk to suddenly call a wide open game and turn this team into the early 90's Bills. Jauron is a risk averse coach with a young risk averse QB. Jauron has coached this way all through his career. He plays defense with his offense and hopes to keep a game close and win it in the end. Same shyt he did here in Chicago. Turk will have a leash on him IMO.
  18. Wow. I have a much simpler and possible scenario. Trent gets injured in pre-season.
  19. I'd start working on a list of head coach candidates as soon as the draft is done.
  20. I'm gonna go waaayyy out on a limb and predict that JP will be the opening day starter for the Bills this season.
  21. You're a lot closer to being an expert than most of us. There was a glaring sign of trouble last year. He wore glove for his first game or two in the cold and wet. The good one's don't wear gloves in the cold. Later TE didn't wear gloves which tells you he's still experimenting. He's a rookie. Can't expect too much.
  22. Simple. Make enough plays to score enough points to win. That's what the good one's do. Use your feet, arm and head to do it.
