  1. I'm with you. Too soon to tell.
  2. I look forward to the Trent/JP debate continuing throughought this upcoming season. It will and it can be entertaining.
  3. I say it STARTS with the head coach and I hold him entirely accountable for the dismal offensive production and the stunting of JP's growth as a QB. Trent may be on the same path unfortunately.
  4. Three people that need to show me a lot this year. Jauron Turk Trent Show me that each of you is competent at what you're paid to do. None of them have done this yet.
  5. Of course. They drag them into this to establish that Lynch had been drinking. Where, when and how much. Brilliant!
  6. I'll second the observation about Jessica Alba.
  7. Mathmatically they were in the hunt, but never did the Bills look like a playoff team last year. Over the past 2 years, how many games have the Bills won against teams with a winning record? About zero. A long way to go for this team and Jauron has a lot to prove before he can be considered anything but a bust as a head coach. This is a "show me" year for DJ.
  8. Too late for that. Let the insurance company handle it.
  9. The next coaching staff will better evaluate, coach and utilize the QB.
  10. Well said. You hit the nail on the head when you mention teams defending him short, blitzing and forcing him to beat them deep. People wonder why the Bills get no productivity from the tight end, well, he's blocking on many pass plays. Trent's tendency to throw short along with an offensive game plan that stresses the check down plays right into the hands of the defense. The Bills are not hard to game plan against, and more defenders close to the line of scrimmage hurts the running game as well. Add to this that Trent is basically a pocket passer and the defense can also rush the passer knowing where he will likely be in his drop. The Bills counter? 3 step drops, short stuff, rarely play action, running against 8 defenders near the line of scrimmage. Who's pressuring who? The opposing defense is pressuring the Bills' offense more often than not.
  11. He turned an accident into a criminal investigation. He deserves to be criticized for that. He will be "at the mercy of authorities", namely the NFL which has bigger level under him than the law in this matter and his conduct in the matter will likely be considered when Roger deals with him. The first smart move Lynch has made in this was to agree to plead guilty. That follwed two dumb moves - leaving the scene and then not accepting responsibility the next day when questioned.
  12. Since this is a Bills board I'll go with Lee Evans.
  13. Yes, but the HC sets the direction, so for example, if the chicken shyt offensive and defensive schemes that the Bills deploy don't produce wins even after the talent available is improved - the head coach has ultimate responsibility.
  14. The league operates on it's own policy which every players has agreed to and is bound. Goodell can take into consideration all aspects of the situation when he issues punishment.
  15. Agree. I think he'll pay a higher price from the league for not handling this above board. The NFLPA might make some noise (as they have for other incidents) but Goodell's decision will stand.
  16. For the past 2 years the bills are 1-5 in their first 3 games of the season. They haven't looked to me like a team ready to compete early on. Might be the country club camp and pre-season doesn't get the players to the needed intensity level soon enough. Any thoughts about the playoffs for the Bills will depend a lot on the first few games this year IMO. They aren't good enough to climb out of a deep hole. Coaching staff needs to have this team ready to play their best from the opening week.
  17. Rest assured that plenty of it will be available in Toronto. Cha-ching. Nice piece of marketing by the Bills.
  18. Well, here you go. My wife hit a 10 year old girl last year who was jaywalking. Broken foot, stitches, bruises. She chose to stay at the scene. Police made reports. We called the next day to apologize. Insurance companies took care of it. No lawyers, no law suits. And before you play the "you don't have as much to lose as Marshawn" card, I do.
  19. This is mean, but I'm starting to understand why she laid in the street for 15 minutes. You'd think a tow truck would get there faster than that.
  20. Yeah, but seriously, how stupid is a car dealer that let's any athlete drive one of their cars?
  21. The car is owned by a new car dealership. Rest assured an umbrella policy with at least $2 million is in place. More than enough to solve the claim based on what we know IMO.
  22. That's a great feeling to have. Where did you get it?
  23. Thanks for taking my back on this one, although he'll have to try a lot harder to piece my thick skin.
  24. My point (which you keep missing) is simply this. Had Lynch handled this with some class and integrity, he would at least given himself a chance that the league, the victim, the DA and the court of public opinion would go easier on him. IMO, he's guaranteed himself the highest possible price that could be paid for this will be paid. This was an accident. Let the insurance companies solve the victim's issues, pay the fine for leaving the scene, aplogize publically and show the commissioner that you are remorseful for what happened. Handle this with some decency rather than like that of a criminal. Too late for a lot of this now. The answer to your question above is simple, the DA isn't going to offer a "deal" before he knows who to charge for what.
