  1. No doubt, Trent is a better fit for the Dick Jauron "let's keep it short and not take too much risk because football is a risky game and you really don't need a good QB to win you just need a guy to manage the game and keep it close and keep your fingers crossed that you can win it at the end when the other team makes a mistake and oh by the way don't challenge what the offensivce coaches are trying to do even if the coaches have no track record of offensive success because we don't like players that ruffle the coaches feathers and prefer QBs that don't show emotion and furthermore the QB should just stay in the pocket because scrambling for a first down is also risky and even though we have a RB that can catch the ball well we really don't want to throw to him too much because we have to save him to run with the ball and tight ends are there to block which doesn't mean we should throw the ball deep very often either" offense.
  2. I'll go with the wishful thinking choice. That Jauron and Shoenert are the talk of the league moving the Bills offense from nearly last to the top 5 in one year.
  3. We'll just have to wait and see what Dick/Turk/Trent can do this year. On paper they look like an awesome trio and I'm sure they will keep defensive coodinators up all night game planning against this potent offense. Personally I think JP might be in the best position, the first one of the Bills QBs to get the opportunity to play for another team.
  4. Time for him to resume leading the cadets.
  5. Agree, but it's inevitable if he doesn't win.
  6. We just see this from a different angle. From where I sit (Chicago and an observer of all of Jauron's days as a head coach), I just don't see Jauron's approach to the game being a winning recipe and while I would love to be wrong, I'd wager heavily against him ever winning a playoff game as a head coach anywhere.
  7. Jauron would field 22 DBs all wearing full body condoms if the rules allowed it.
  8. I think Orton will be the starter and he might surprise some people.
  9. "Superb" is a lofty prediction for Trent especially when you consider his coaching. If Jauron and company hang around for a few yesrs, one could argue that JP is actually in the better position of the two. He at least has a chance to go to a team and coaching situation where the QB has a better chance to do well.
  10. Good. Hope you're right and the Bills can run Jauron out of town after this year.
  11. Let's not confuse losing players with losing coaches.
  12. Where the heck are you coming from?
  13. Somebody needs to get Willy T. Ribbs out of retirement.
  14. This is just more motivation for JP. I'd expect that he'll work very hard to improve his game and there's no reason to think that past shortcomings can't be corrected to the point where he's a solid player particularly if he goes to a team that knows how to develop a QB.
  15. Not only do they have few pass rush weapons, but the mindset of this head coach is not to use (very often) LBs or DBs to join the rush. The defense really counts on the front 4 getting pressure which they didn't do as often as you'd like them to. Personally I don't like the approach. Better to make it tougher for the opposing QB if you can. Sure, Brady oftens burns the blitz but if you let him stand back there and go through his reads he'll kill you even more.
  16. You couldn't possibly dream that Crowell is in the top 50 in the league could you? Maybe he was the best linebacker on the Bills last year but that's not saying much given who played.
  17. NY does issue "conditional licenses" which allows driving only to/from work or school during the revocation period. Maybe he gets one of those.
  18. Well the Texans won 1 more game than the Bills last year and play in a tougher division. On top of that they have a young head coach who looks like he's moved the team further in 2 years than Jauron has in his 2 years in Buffalo.
  19. He won't say a darned thing until the NFL and victim are done with him.
  20. He needs to learn how to avoid people rather than run into them.
  21. Marshall will be suspended and you can bank on the commissioner investigating Lynch. The NFL conduct policy specifically states that causing harm to others is punishable. On that basis I think Marshawn might be sitting for a game or two.
  22. I wouldn't say that. The Bills look solid across the offense with remaining questions at WR, TE, QB and maybe center. If even a couple of those spots improve from last year, the personnel should be enough to produce some scores, but QB is the largest question IMO. Defensively the Bills should be a lot better than last year. More experience for the young guys and added talent at DL and LB. I really think the talent this year could surpass that of the head coach.
  23. I really question whether or not this head coach, given any QB in the league, could captain a top notch offense.
  24. I don't know about that. I think it's entirely possible that when Jauron and Losman's careers in football are over that JP will have had the better career.
