  1. Actually not. Have you seen the movie "Weekend At Bernie's". That'll give you the picture.
  2. No problem. Come September all of the coaches and players can show what they've got and have the opportunity to answer answer any lingering doubts from the past.
  3. Absolutely. I like it too.
  4. What, not #1? Somebody better consult with Whitner to see what he thinks.
  5. If you want to draw a conclusion on the offensive improvement based on OTA's then you're entitled to do that. Just don't expect many others to buy it. I myself will wait to see results against a real opponent in a real game. For the record, I don't hate Jauron. I think he a very high quality person. I just don't think he can be a winning head coach in the NFL, and that opinion is drawn from watching his career very closely. I live in Chicago, followed the Bears while he coached here and have done the same during his time with the Bills. I think his approach to football is overly cautious and that permeates his decision making as a coach. I don't believe that his approach along with winning talent will produce playoff victories ever in his career. While this is my opinion, his coaching results support it and I have seen nothing from him that suggests he'll change his approach to the game.
  6. You've got to be joking. They have yet to play even 1 preseason down. How can you make any assessment? Talk (from the Bills and the media) is cheap and that's all we have thus far. Now I'd agree the only way is up after last year, but they've got to show us something first. Until then, it's all BS.
  7. No worries. Trent and Turk will be so explosive that Trent will generate 28 point leads and will rarely play past the 3rd quarter. JP comes in for relief and mostly hands the ball off to Fred Jackson which explains why Lynch's numbers are not projected as high as they might be.
  8. Don't forget that the Falcon have a large claim against him. Vick won't be keeping his money and if we could all see a summary of his expenditures since he became an NFL QB, it would be both sad and hilarious.
  9. Who said anything about hating Edwards or even Jauron for thqt matter? I don't hate either one and in fact I think both are really good people. I'd take both as next door neighbors. I just haven't seen much from Trent on the field to warrant his annointment as the "starter" and I have no confidence in Jauron as a head coach if the goal is for him to lead the Bills to playoff victories. They both need to "show me" that they're worthy of their positions on this team. The bottom line is results and neither has produced much of that worth mentioning. And I wasn't kidding about putting Moorman on the tickets. He's played in a Pro bowl.
  10. As much as I want to be wrong, I agree with them. This year the problem will be lack of offense as the masterminds Jauron/Shoenert/Edwards can't get out of their own way. A classic nice guys finish last story.
  11. I can't wait for Jauron's enthusiastic and inspirational comment on what Whitner said when Dick is asked about it. Should be a good start for a nap.
  12. The team would be wise to keep Trent in the background until he actually does something on the field to deserve to be featured on a ticket. Until he does, put Brian Moorman on the ticket.
  13. So often head coaches choose the most familiar face to be a coodinator or position coach. Take Turk for example. How hard did Jauron search before finding him?
  14. I wouldn't call his Giant's defenses in the '80's conservative. Big difference between Parcells and Jauron: Parcells, for every team he's coached has taken one with a losing record and turned it into a winner. That's 4 teams by my count. That's impressive.
  15. Oh and Rocky Bleier whose story would be good enough for a Rocky movie all its own.
  16. Yes, Dick Jauron is a huge question mark for this team. He got a "pass" the past 2 seasons due to lack of talent and injuries. We'll see what he's made of this year. Will he have his team ready to play at the opening bell of the season? Will he continue to push his "play not to lose" agenda on offense? Will Turk prove to be a good choice as OC after not interviewing a single outside candidate? Will he make in-game decisions that make a positive difference?
  17. Very nice post. This is a tough schedule for the Bills IMO. The teams that were weak last year look to be improved and several of those games are on the road. Bills have to start the season better than they have the past couple of years. Jauron has to get this team ready quicker. They could be looking at a poor record by the bye week if not ready to play on week one and they aren't a good enough team IMO to recover from that.
  18. Bills in decent shape. I don't see much on the list that they can't do without.
  19. Strength in numbers apparently.
  20. Rest assured that without JP on the roster, the Bills would be rated "D".
  21. Well said. The Marv Levy Bills were special.
  22. I agree the only way to go is up. Your guarantee assumes that Jauron after 10 years or so of head coaching changes his philosophy and that the rookie OC that he hired can prepare and execute game plans that get the most out of the talent the Bills have. I don't see either of these as likely for this year. Turk will begin on the job training this fall and I don't see Dick changing who he is when it comes to his offensive approach.
