Barkley only under contract for 2020 so this grabbing a future good backup QB looks smart. -

Or he shows well in pre-season and Beane trades him for a 3rd round pick next year. -

He can get faster if he works at it. He's got lousy knee lift and lousy ankle dorsiflexion. In other words he runs a little stiff. They can work on that. -

See that camera on Belichick? Crappy house. Crappy chandelier, crappy table/chairs, crappy window coverings. Goes with his bitter persona. -

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Seems to me that the vast majority of employers would insist on those employees being off work until they are able to come back. People have sick time and any employer worth a damn will pay such a person while they're out. I'm sure as you mention though that there are some employers that won't. Any company with a PPP loan is required to pay them. -

Yes he's a great character guy. He was a 3 sport athlete in H.S. (football, discus and shot, basketball). Great kid from a great family. Hard worker, grounded, soft spoken. I saw him win the 2016 Illinois discus state championship. He threw 205 feet, still a state record. Definitely a process guy in the Beane/McD mold. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Can say that testing is becoming more widely available. We've had 3 people at work now tested and none were dire cases. Each was suspicious and each tested negative, but they were able to get a test order written by doc, tested same day and results within hours or 24 hours. Our local hospital only has Covid-19 patients who are very elderly and not healthy. In our community this is having little impact on otherwise healthy people. -

The Thread To Vent On Nancy Pelosi & Her Hubris
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's pretty easy to ignore the ice cream thing and despise Nancy based on her policies and political and deceitful record as a congresswoman and speaker. Not even an honest dem can like her. -

Illinois Covid-19 deaths each day. Look at the ages of these people. I love my older relatives and friends but we can't keep the economy shut down any longer. Recommend that retirees stay distant and let the rest of us get on with life. http://www.dph.illinois.gov/news/202004 -

Pritzker is going to have a revolt on his hands if he doesn't at least loosen some of the restrictions before the end of May and rightfully so. There is no reason why outdoor activities such as golf, tennis and outdoor work activities can't resume. If Grocery retailers and others can operate with reduced customer population and cleanliness practices, then so too should all retailers. We can't let nursing homes and their problems run the rest of the state. -

So Eric Trump asking lendors and landlords to simply to treat him the same as others. That's a problem? In the past 2 weeks the bank that holds one of my commercial mortgages has offered us deferred payments and the management company of other properties of mine has cut their minimum monthly fees. At the same time one of my tenants has asked me for some relief which we are likely to work out with them. These are sensible adjustments in extraordinary times. Why should Trump's companies not ask for similar revisions? -

Agree especially on Pence. He's really shown over the past couple months that he's a very capable player in this. A real asset to this administration IMO. He's sensible and measured and can handle the heat. -

Some of his presentations are good. More often they are excessive rambling and meandering verbosity. -
Opposition "dirt" is SOP for most campaigns, even down at local level politics. Dirt which is true and sourced from legal sources is fair game. Hillary's campaign spent millions digging up dirt on Trump and there was nothing illegal with that either except that it was untrue and also used by our government in tandem with media for nefarious purposes. That's where laws were likely broken. Don Jr would have been in big trouble if the "Russians" in the meeting were Russian government officials or representatives of theirs and handed him info on Hillary and got favors in exchange. Trump's campaign will likely dig more privately into Joe Biden and his family dealings in Ukraine and China and Iraq for this upcoming cycle. Completely legit to do so and put out their findings as long as those governments don't contribute. Rudy's been doing that research already.

The Big Gamble: Hydroxychloroquine

Many companies make a combination Zinc/Copper supplement for this reason. In terms of treating Covid-19, the Zinc usage is short term.
