CJ to SD for Ladarius Green. Great trade for both teams.

Would the Bills trade up to get Watkins?
Jrock6986 replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
6'1 isn't small. He went up and got 1 tonight. You take talent when you can. You don't pass on a legitimate stud just bc he's not 6'5. James hardy was 6'5 and stunk. -
Someone will take Boyd at the end of the 1st round.
-
Hundley is an absolute stud. Yes he can fling it.
-
Carr could go top 10 and if Hundley declares he will go top 5.

Would the Bills trade up to get Watkins?
Jrock6986 replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he's there at. 9. A lot of QBs along with Matthews and Clowney gonna go over Watkins. -
If Buffalo wants a big back late in the draft, Doug Marrone should look at his old pupil in Jerome Smith. 245 lb beast who runs hard and has very good hands.

I'm 36 and think its great. Funny as ****. If they get popped in the face, that's on them. I had snowballs thrown at me in Philly so there's worse being done out there by other fans. -
Watkins at 9, TE in the 2nd, G in the 3rd and let's see how much EJ can improve with improved line and weapons. I'm not reading to write EJ off after 10 games like 75% of this forum.
-
Sammy Watkins at 9 please. Reminds of a young Andre Johnson. Sammy is 6'1, Andre is 6'3, but very similar in how they play the game

Johnny Football vs. Duke (Possible draftees)
Jrock6986 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in College Football
You gotta love the way Johnny Football plays the game. He will have to tone it down a bit in the NFL if he wants a long career. -

Evans appears to be a head case. No way do I want to risk a 1st rounder on him. Maybe second if he falls, but there are other big, athletic WRs out there. -
If EJ is not the answer, who should we "suck" for?
Jrock6986 replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mariota. The days of sucking have to be over. They have been too long and dark. I'm not ready to give up on EJ yet. -

Mike Evans just cost his team 3 pts. He is a monster though. -

predict Bills first 3 picks-and predict how it plays out
Jrock6986 replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. S. Gilmore 2. M. Adams 3. R. Randle -
Here is my mock draft. I took some guys with checkered pasts but could really put this team over the top if they pan out. 1. Michael Floyd. WR Im sick of hearing about his DUI/Alcohol related arrests earlier in his ND career, bottom line is who doesnt drink in college. He stayed out of trouble his whole senior year and he absolutely had a monster season and was a game changer everytime he stepped on the field. The guy worked as a janitor to help him get through college, that shows character. 2. Janoris Jenkins. CB. Yes this guy has fallen on draft boareds because of off field issues, but the bottom line is I think he is as talented as any CB in this draft and could instantly come in and start right away for the Buffalo Bills with his talent. If you can find a potential lock down CB in the second round, you grab him. 3. Brandon Mosley. OT. Best value at OT on the board. Hes from the Southeast where Buddy tends to draft. 4a. Keenan Robinson. LB Very good LB who will come in and compete for playing team right away. 4b. Matt McCants. OT Buddy finds another 4th gem OT. Could be a starter at OT for us for years. 5a. Orsen Charles. TE His DWI arrests will drop his stock but hes too good for Buffalo to allow the fall to continue. This guy can flat out play. 5b. Emmanuel Acho. LB Buddy takes both Acho and Robinson, teammates from Texas, and both compete for PT instantly. 6. Russell Wilson. QB The guy is a winner. He might be only 5'11 but I'll take him or Levi Brown anyday of the week, and that is who is replacing. People have been impressed with his pre draft workouts too 7a. Vontaze Burflict. LB This guy was the fallest to fall on draft boards in the whole draft. Take a chance in the 7th that this guy figures it out and excels like his did in CFL 7b. Mason Cloy C. Big southern boy who played at Clemson. Another Buddy Nix player. I know i took a lot of guys with question marks but i also took alot of guys who have a load of talent. Its Super Bowl or bust the next few years and I say all the talent you possibly can and hopefully a couple of guys figure it out and mature.

4 FA signings that could cost between 20-25 mill a year
Jrock6986 replied to Jrock6986's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thx for the tip on Thomas. When healthy he is worth 7/8 mill a year range but coming off 2 ACL tears, he's not worth anything in that range. That's whyy I said 3/4 with incentives, but if the Giants or some other team want to take the risk and spend the money, let them. There's other talent available between 3-5 million range who could help out the team. -
Marques Colston- $8 mill/year. He has northeast roots from attending Hofstra, so has played in cold. 6'4 225lbs. big receiver Buddy talked out in presser at end of season. Has had at least 1000 yrd and 7 TD's in 5 out of his first 6 seasons. The one season he didnt, he got hurt. While everone is whining and dining VJ,, Buddy should swoop in and get the better WR on the market for a cheaper price. Jeremy Mincey- $6 mill/year. Had 8 sacks last year and 5 the year before in his 2 first years gettin significant playing time. He is starting to come into his own and could be a nice solid addition to an already very good DL. Martellus Bennett- $4 mill/year. Has never really gotten a chance in Dallas playing behind Witten and Phillips but is the exceptional blocker Chan wants to have in his offense, and has the ability to become a very solid if not better all around TE. Ill take Bennett over Chandler any day. Terrell Thomas- $3/4 mill/year with incentives. Yes I know he has blown his knee out twice, but hes still only 27, and when hes healthy, he is a big physical corner who could really help out the Bills defensive backfield. These 4 player's arent the sexiest picks in the 2012 FA pool but are def 4 guys that could be brought in fast by Buddy and get signed, somewhere near the price I predicted. All 4 could really help the Bills get to the next level. Then Buddy takes LT J.Martin at 10 to solidify the OL and he doesnt have to reach for his DE here. Use the picks in round 2,3,4, and 5 to focus on DE's, OLB's,and maybe even a future QB to finish out the draft. These 4 FA pickups plus Martin at 10 and multiple picks on day 2 and 3 to address the pash rush and this puts the Buffalo Bills in good position to make first playoff appearance since 1999.

Cornerback other than the draft
Jrock6986 replied to SWVABillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Finnegan wants $10 million a year so hes def not coming to Buffalo nor would I want him too as a fan for that price tag. I'd rather spend a whole lot less and take a chance on Terrell Thomas. Thomas had a really good 2010, and even though coming off injury, if healthy can help out this defensive backfield. -
Courtney Upshaw is a complete stud! It doesn't matter if he's at OLB or DE, he is gonna be an NFL Pro Bowler. He is the exact type of football player the Buffalo Bills need. For everyone whose doubting his pass rush skills. Stop it, ur embarrassing yourself. Anyone who watched college football consistently knows that Upshaw is the real deal and can be a double digit sack master in the NFL!

Official Non-Bills Draft Thread

whiffed??? Hahaha. you people are unbelievable. Sheppard was the leading tackler on one of the nation's top defenses 2 years in a row. Kelvin Sheppard will be a starter in the NFL for many years. He has a great attitude and will work hard to get even better. He is also an absolute beast on the football field who loves to hit. He has the utmost respect from his coaches and staff because of how he plays the game. Im also pretty sure Nix and Gailey know more about these guys do than any of us know it all fans. I didnt know everyone here on this board was Mel Kiper or Todd McShay with their credentials. -

Pittsburgh????!!! The same Steeler team that spiked the ball with about a minute left on the clock, with first and goal from the 4? If they lost, Tomlin would be sitting right next to Jauron right now. Well Pittsburgh didnt lose b/c they have a great QB, something Buffalo hasnt had since Jim Kelly. So sad -
i threw my drew bledsoe jersey in the Erie Canal when they lost the game to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the last week of the season a couple years ago when they win and their in and Pittsburgh 3rd string wiped the floor with the Bills. I was at a bar which is located on the Erie Canal and after the game I took and it off and threw it into the Erie Canal. I wish i still lived there b/c i would throw all the rest of my bills jerseys into the Canal too.
