  1. Sweed and the next best TE in the 3rd would make me pretty excited about the draft. Pick up a C or DE and a FB and it would be a pretty good draft addressing most of the team's needs. They don't need to address everything this year but it would be a great start to getting back to the playoffs!
  2. Well the WRs and 2 TEs are now moving off the board. Do we go for Davis and the best WR available in the 3rd rd or Hardy/Sweed and the best available TE in the 3rd? I guess we will find out which is a higher priority for the Bills FO soon enough!
  3. Sounds good. I'll bring the beer.
  4. Interesting read, thanks!
  5. If you are in the sports media and think the GMs and Front Office will be upfront with you during the month of April, I would have to think you are either brand new or pretty darn naive.
  6. Be careful about how you analyze the data. The draft does not take into account what players are on the team before the draft or what a team does in free agency. I would say the sample size is not big enough for any appreciable trending. Of course I sucked at stats in school. 50% of the numbers lie 90% of the time.
  7. Thanks they definitely don't need 2 QBs.
  8. Damn missed that. Do I get a redo? Oh well competition is a good thing right?
  9. Falcons - Chad Henne
  10. Who is ready for Rd 2?
  11. Mayo pusher.
  12. Too bad the real draft was not this fast. All 7 rounds would be done in 2 hours. Of course I wouldn't get to listen to Mel Kiper talk for hours on end...
  13. I tried to trade down to the Vikings or Eagles but they wouldn't answer their phones.
  14. Speed and height and a red zone target. What else could you ask for?
  15. Bills take Limas Sweed.
  16. NFL Network had their daily show on TV last night and they mentioned both Johnson and Mayo as fast risers. They thought Mayo would go 15th to Detroit and that Johnson could slide to early 2nd round. Its amazing how some of the players seem to become media favorites or outcasts and then everybody jumps on the bandwagon.
  17. I am not so sure why everyone loves CJ. Why would we want to give up a high draft pick for someone who is 30 and is a "me first" player?
  18. I think it is making the point that there is no clear WR that separates themself from the rest of the pack. Some love Thomas, others love Sweed, Hardy or Kelly. It is really going to be interesting to see which team picks what WRs.
  19. I can sympathize with you. I had to work around the availability of the church and reception hall. I at least was able to put the wedding late enough in the day to watch the Bill's pick. I guess that's why they have TIVO and VCRs. Good luck!
  20. I just love the draft! I made the mistake of getting married 2 years ago during draft weekend. I was in a divided church of Bills and Patriot fans checking their cells for draft updates! At least my wife likes football. I will have to train the kids to suffer along with me!
  21. 1 more vote for Davis.
  22. 2, I would be happy with a TE and WR. 3 if you count having Poz back healthy.
  23. I am not sure if Kelly will last until #41 in the 2nd rd. I also am not sure he is someone the Bills are targeting. I really wouldn't be surprised if someone like Dallas goes after him at the bottom of the 1st rd.
  24. With small school players, I think the numbers are often overinflated from lack of competition. I feel a lot more comfortable with a lineman or dback. It seems too be to easy to dominate lesser competition with pure physical ability. Just my 2 cents.
  25. I think if any of the top D linemen slide down, that Cincy at 9 would grab them. It doesn't look like Baltimore at 8 or the Saints at 10 are really looking D linemen for their top needs. Of course, I am not sitting in their draft rooms so you never know especially if it someone high on their respective draft lists.
