  1. Yup and ESPN has praised their front office including Ozzie about 10 times. The Eagles as well. Its easier to draft the best player available when you already have good talent on your team.
  2. I have a tendency to give the Bill's scouting department the benefit of the doubt. I am going to guess that they watched more fill than I did or the 1000s of people who put mock drafts on the web.
  3. Is Pike now the best option?
  4. And there goes Skelton!
  5. ESPN just said Campbell to Raiders trade is in the works.
  6. Thanks for the stats and the legwork. The stats don't take into account though the organizations that surround the players taken or who was already the QB on the roster when taken. Sometimes, players just luck into better situations that allow them to play and blossom than others. If we were really going to compare, we should look at what the success rate is for other position players. Although I suspect the success rate would probably be higher, it would be interesting to compare. I would guess again it really comes down to whom the scouts think will succceed, the desire and skill of the player, and the competition on the roster. If a scout has identified that a QB is the best player available for the team based on who is available, by all means go for it. I would rather roll the dice and win 5% of the time, than never win at all by not taking a chance.
  7. I agree and add Skelton's name to the list for possible 4th rd pick.
  8. Too bad, would have been nice to have 2 high 2nd rd picks. I do feel better that I didn't miss something like that.
  9. Let's get some help in the trenches!
  10. I was looking at CBS Sportsline website and it shows the Bills with Miami's 2nd rd pick as well as their own on their NFL draft tracker. Did I miss something or is this a misprint?
  11. Was just thinking Jenn Brown was pretty hot. Don't remember seeing her before. Anyone know her history?
  12. Check again in 2-3 years. Tonight might look good now but looks can be deceiving.
  13. Any predictions yet for 2011?
  14. or like the Broncos seem to be doing...
  15. 10 years according to the show and it mentioned he watches a lot of tape!
  16. Not sure if anyone saw it tonight but in the last minute of the daily draft preview show their segment draftbuzz mentioned that the Bills will most likely draft either Spiller or Clausen for what its worth. Wish they would pay me for my predictions. Clausen I could live with but not sure if we should be looking at a RB right now. It's not what I consider one of our bigger needs.
  17. Nice article, thanks for the link. I don't have a problem with drafting Clausen but I think we really need to address the O line. Its hard to pass when you are being sacked or hurried. I would like to see us address our line needs early and go after a mid rd QB but that's just me.
  18. Don't forget to add Stupar to the list. He did a decent job at the end of the season. TE is at least 1 area where the Bills do not have to address immediately. Give Nelso some time to develop and learn to play at the Pro level and he could be a valuable addition to the offese to stretch the field a bit.
  19. Fitz doesn't have a future with the Bills. Giving Brohm another start would at least help evaluate if the kid has a shot next year to be the potential starter. What do we have to lose at this point other than a few spots in the drafting order?
  20. Just a heads up that the pro bowl ballots are open. As much as I love the Bills, it was extremely hard to pick any of our current starters for pro bowl slots based on their season performance. I did take Byrd over Reed for safety based on his interceptions and big play ability. Interesting that Kendall Simmons is listed as the Bills starter based on his whole 3 games as a Bill. Here is the link to vote: http://www.nfl.com/probowl/ballot
  21. Dunn always seemed like a class act to me and I appreciated how he carried himself and gave back to community. It's amazing how players can be at the opposite end of the spectrum with the money they earn in pro careers. Antoine Walker blows 110 million dollars and is broke at the age of 34 and Dunn saves and invests and buys a stake in a pro team. http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/ce...ealth_vanishes/ Gosh I only wish I had the ooportunity to blow that much money!
  22. I am probably in the minority here but I would rather have the Bills draft the best available linemen first and worry about a QB later in the draft or even next year. It's hard to throw a ball when you are lying on the ground with a 300 lb D lineman on your chest. If the Bills can get an O line to stay healthy and develop for a whole season, then it would allow the FO and coaching staff to truly evaluate the QBs on the roster. It will also give the new coaching staff a chance to implement their system and for the team to adapt. Their is something to besaid for having the same system in place for 10 years like the Colts or Pats instead of making widespread changes every 2-3 years.
  23. Maybe somebody can educate me but was Weis that big a factor in NE or was it the personnel? I think I could have won there with all of the offensive weapons they have had in the 2000s.
