I did say he was a smart man and I did like him the times I've seen covering other games. But last night he seemed like nothing more than a Bills employee. I would hope he would try to show off his expertise. Not sell tickets for the Bills.
Considering Losman had the ball for 5 seconds you math doesn't work out.
It was a broken play and it's a good think the guy was 10 yards away. It's the only reason Price stuck his arms out.
Marv had nothing to do with the draft. The question should be is "Tom Modrak a genius or a goat".
If I had to find a word to descibe Modrak's drafts so far I would use "safe" as the word. I can't think of any player that would be considered a "stud" or a "superstar". I also can't think of any picks that would be considered complete wastes of time.
You don't find it insulting?
Tasker is a smart man. It would be nice to hear his honest opinion. I like listening to smart people talk football. I don't like infomercials. More so in this market where you have 2/3 of the media shilling for the Bills.
Does he wear a Jills uniform during the game? He's a smart guy so he should know the meaning of professionalism.
Did he actually say "the Bills have so much talent in the secondary it's embarrassing." No Steve! Your gushing over one of the leagues bottom feeders is embarrassing.
I was hoping the NFL network would show the Browns feed. I was hoping for an honest assessment of the Bills.
Tell me how good T-Rex is during the regular season and it's a must have third down conversion and Losman spots Price across the middle and throws a ball that leads T-Rex a little and his arms refuse to leave his body in traffic and the Bills lose.
That's the T-Rex we all know and love
Isn't that the same year Wiley left? The year they were $15 million over the cap with two scub QBs making $10 million and their best player, Eric Moulds, was a free agent?
Why let facts get in the way of a good story.
And a lot of JP's incompletions are to wide open receivers. So what's your point?
Have you ever heard of Bernie Kosar? He was a prety decent QB with an average arm. And there is another QB in the northeast who doesn't have a "gun" for an arm. What was his name again. Tom Brady or something like that.
If you build a strong line, a solid running game and a defense that will shorten the field you don't need a big arm to compensate. But since the Bills don't have any of those things I can guess your right. Why waste the pick.
Even if it's preseason it's still a valid comparison since JP is playing in the preseason also.
I know all the Levy apologists are going to hate this but the 2006 Draft will always be known as the Matt Leinart draft if this kid turns into a quality QB and Losman craps the bed. It won't even matter what Whitner does. Whitner could be the Bills equivalent to Doug Wickenheiser when the Canadians passed on Denis Savard.
Take the extra 20-25 minutes and drive to DownTown Buffalo. There are dozens of great palces to eat. From the small hole in the wall to $50-100 dollars a plate places.
What were the Bills other options at QB? Hmmm
If TD was still here Branch would be an option.
I'm sure Marv is right on it. By tomorrow he'll have all the info
he needs on Cliff Branch
Getting a first round pick for Price should get Donahoe into the 'Hall Of Fame'
You could trade any of the three QBs it's not going to matter. The future of this offense depends on the repaired knee of McGahee. Which is why not making the offenseive line the top priority is the biggest mistake that who ever the GM is has made.
Imagine what would have happened if Golisano fired Regier and Ruff and brought back #11 to run the franchise, make people feel better and think about better days.
