Are you referring to the 7-9 team of 2008.....or the 6-10 team of 2009?

How do you figure we need another LB to stay even with last year? We still have 2 of the 3 starters from last year......and Lawson. We are likely better than we were already at LB compared to last season. Similarly.....how do you figure we need a starting WR to be the equal of last year? As I recall our #1 & #2 were SJ & Graham.....we still have those. From the looks we need a backup DE(replacing Kelsay)......and likely have a safety of similar talent(or better) to Wilson already on the roster. QB??? Honestly. 1st round draft choice. Might be crap....might be brilliant. Either way, TJ is comparable to Fitz.....bad is bad, losing is losing. TE Likely will only miss a few games at worst from what I read. OG is the only area where one can think that we have realistically regressed. As OL seems to be a position where we have scouted well recently.....and that our new HC has perhaps a penchant for the OL.....I'd say they likely have a plan. There is still a bucket load of FAs available, it should be easy to replace a hand full of players who played poorly or were backup for us last year. All that in mind, I am not satisfied if we stay the same level of mediocre that we were last year.......but it is a massive over reaction to suggest that any player that we lost apart from Levitre would actually be difficult in any way to replace.

Koala's are constantly stoned on eucalyptus(true). Their cousin, the Drop Bear is quite dangerous though. Looks like a Koala but is carnivorous. Drops out of the gum trees from a great height onto its prey. Usually doesn't drop on humans....but it has been known to happen.

The Platapus is not a marsupial.....it is a monotreme. And most marsupials are fairly cute. Possums, Wallabies, Koalas, Quolls, Sugar Gliders, Feather-tailed Gliders, Numbats, Bilbys....even the Wombat is kind of cute. Kangaroos & Tasmanian Devils are the only ones(from memory) that are in the least bit scary.

The minimum spend is on the base cap number(123m)......not the number a team has with the rollover added(2013 Bills: 133m) The rough minimum spend for 2013 is only 111m. To my knowledge the Bills have 102m tied up in contracts plus another 9.5m in dead cap......111.5m total. This means that technically we have already spent over 90%......and apart from rookie contracts, we don't have to spend any more. (I can see the pessimism brigade going crazy over this tidbit of information. )

Though technically true, you imply that there isn't a lot of guards left in FA, where in fact there are many still available that are rated somewhere between where Levitre & Rinehart were. I think it implies that the replacement(of which there are lots of options) will easily step up and do a solid job. I totally agree with you that this is a good sound bite statement & history has shown that it is not as easy to do as the statement implies. I wouldn't mind if people were to say..... A replacement might show that they are solid, but even a sub-par OG is less detrimental to a team than most other positions, particularly if they are slotted between a solid C & LT. It is still an opinion, but at least it cannot be instantly refuted with recent evidence to the contrary......and perhaps even supported with evidence.

Simply focusing on the players a team signs is only half of the story..... The Fins have just lost their leading rusher(Bush) and their all-pro LT(Long).

If the Titans can over pay for Levitre......I don't see why we couldn't.

Don't know if I agree with the creating turnovers one. Seems to me that some teams train a lot better at stripping(& protecting) the ball than other teams. The good news for our defensive players is that we were 13th in Sack percentage......and only 15th in opposing teams QBR. It wasn't all horrible.
