Not my cup of tea, but well done. Kudos on the thick skin too. It takes big kahunas to set yourself up for guaranteed abuse and insults......and bigger ones to conduct oneself with courtesy and aplomb in the face of those insults. Go Bills!

I agree. The same sort of thing can be said for modern R&B music IMO. Both Country and R&B music seem to only hold a slim relationship to what made them truly worthy art forms in times past.

I just rewatched it. Bills rushed with 5 at the line(not sure who) and sent 6 back very deep. Panthers sent 4 WRs downfield. Newton looked like he had just enough time to throw early.....likely connecting with a WR at around the Bills 45. I would assume that the WRs were not going to be looking back for a pass at that point as they were hell bent on getting to the end zone quickly......and had one been assigned for early release, he would have 40+ yards and 6 defenders between him and the end zone. I don't know how it is normally played on Defense. How many does one usually rush? Considering the result, rushing 5 seemed the correct number lol.

I could be wrong.....but......"hitting him in the mouth" was a figure of speech. Like "laying a lick" on someone etc. Seems like people think that Allen literally meant "hitting him in the mouth"......which makes very little sense.

Agreed. Our secondary is being manned by backups and misfits.....but....and here's the good news....with our sucky secondary we are still 13th in passing yards allowed & 5th in passing yards/attempt. We are also equal 1st in sacks(which might help explain the first two rankings). Gilmore & Byrd should see that sucky(though productive) secondary become....well, less sucky.

I was pointing out that the appearance that he is injury prone is just that. An appearance......not a reality. IMO, a lot of talk revolving around Spiller is myth and conjecture. If we take his highest rushing 8 games last season (14 or more carries in a game)..... His stats were.... 142 rushes (17.75/game) 867 yards (6.1 yards/carry) He was certainly not over-worked in theses 8 games. Carry numbers were: 14, 15, 22, 14, 14, 17, 22, 24. Had he been used similar in the other 8 games he would have been.... 284 rushes (8th in NFL) 1734 yards (2nd in NFL)

Or maybe they simply miscalculated the talent they had remaining. It's a bit rich IMO to ignore the concept that they saw the talent in Urbik and Pears.....and drafted successfully in Wood, Levitre & Glenn....and not allow them a pass on their talent assessment of Brown.....or worse still, assume that they were scrimping on dollars(after paying Mario, FJ, Stevie, Wood etc). Sometimes mistakes are made. It used to be that making mistakes was the norm for the Bills(from top to bottom). Now it seems like the opposite is the case. (At least from my perspective).

No back was a 25 carry per game back last season. Only 5 averaged over 18 carries a game with the most being Foster at 21.9/game.

IMO Gailey was indeed strategic and a good game planner......but.....when other teams started to figure out his system (ala last season) he was either incapable or unwilling to change his play calling and strategies. He also seemed unable to figure out the actual talents of his players (RB & QB being the most obvious). In regards to Spiller being injury prone.....he's only missed 2 games in his rookie year(2010) and has played every game since.

Our stats are getting better though. Week 2 actual stats: Offense: 6 of 14, 42 percent (improvement of 5 percent) Defense: 7 of 16, 43 percent (improvement of 12 percent) Still not good.....but both were around the 'average' area last week.

The players didn't seem to be hampered too much by their culture of failure today.

.....he then went on to suggest that the very same shell-shock type failure attitude was endemic in the players as well.....which is illogical and had me questioning not only his general ability to be rational, but also his motivations for drafting the article in the first place.
