Now that is the stat that I would like to see.

That's a very poor example of pulling the plug let alone showing the knowledge of when to pull the plug. No team who drafts a QB with the 16th pick in the 2nd round has any real expectations that the QB will become their future franchise QB......if they did they would have drafted said QB in the 1st round. Adding to that......the Panthers had the #1 pick and an extremely rare opportunity to obtain a super high potential draft prospect QB. Even had Clausen showed some promise in his rookie year they would have been crazy not to draft Newton.

Looking back...Skip Bayless is such a dramatic tool
Dibs replied to Billzfan23's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does EJ have a strong arm? I thought he did.....but they both agreed near the end of the clip that he doesn't. I'm so confused now. -
If Unga loses 1lb he'd be under 320lbs. Just saying.

Looking back...Skip Bayless is such a dramatic tool
Dibs replied to Billzfan23's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When Skippy belabored the point about the Bills having the #9 pick in the second round(pick 41) saying "I'm pretty sure, I'm not dead sure but I'm pretty sure EJ Manuel would have been sitting there...." all I could think was "What if he wasn't though!!!". All it would take is just one of the many QB needy teams that drafted ahead of pick 41 to have similar views to the Bills on EJ(that he was the only legitimate QB option in the draft). Had we waited and he was still there......no problems. Had we waited and he was taken by another team.....what in heavens name would we do then? Skippy is a moron. -

If you were GM for a week, what would you do?
Dibs replied to 13player's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Cards recently(ish?) extended him. They would cop a massive dead cap hit.....and we would be looking at some very big cap hits just for his base salary over the next few years.....http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/arizona-cardinals/larry-fitzgerald/ -
Why isn't anyone talking about Stevie?
Dibs replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of WRs......not that many considering there are 32 NFL teams: (Current NFL players.....I may have missed one or two) Stevie Johnson 2010-2012 Brandon Marshall 2007-2012 (6 in a row, with 828 already this season) Marques Colston 2009-2012 (4 in a row, would have been 7 except was injured in 2008) Calvin Johnson: 2010-2013 (4 in a row) A.J. Green 2011-2013 Vincent Jackson 2008-2009 & 2011-2012 (injured in 2010 with 827 already this season) Wes Welker 2007-2009 & 2011-2012 (on pace for 1000 in 2013) Victor Cruz 2011-2012 (with 824 already this season) Reggie Wayne 2004-2010, 2012 (2011 was only 960) Larry Fitzgerald 2007-2011 Andre Johnson 2008-2010 Steve Smith 2005-2008 Greg Jennings 2008-2010 -
NFL QB rivalries: did I hear this right?

Well, he did pretty much own them throughout his career. -

It's unfortunate that you put so much thought and effort into your post. I stopped after your first point as it is unfortunately wrong. I don't think one actually can move the Fitz money back......but even if one could it would have no effect on the 2014 cap due to rollover rules. The Fitz 2014 cap hit is $7m(not $10m). Moving it into 2013 would simply mean that we would have $7m less to roll into 2014. Extending Mario is a "maybe" situation......he is already signed till he is 32(2017) and will doubtfully accept much of a pay cut, meaning there will be massive cap hits every year for years to come......with a chunky dead cap hit when we finally need to cut him. Extending Kyle is not logical as his 2014 & 2015 cap hits are already under $6m/year..... Freddie is $3.7m next year on his final contract year, extending him would mean adding questionable dollars into the 2015 year. Extending Aaron could only worsen your 2014 cap situation as his slated 2014 cap hit is only $1.7m heading into FA. I agree one shouldn't trade Stevie.....but his contract is not exactly cap friendly from 2014. 2014 cap hit: $8.5m 2015 cap hit: $8.85m 2016 cap hit: $8.95m (30 years old) SJ is actually one of the players that it makes sense to restructure to free up 2014/15 cap space IMO. Agreed. -
You are correct on this. The common opponent win-loss atm is Bills 3-5, Jets 4-3. If the Bills win out & end up with the same W/L record as the Jets, that means the Jets will have to have 2 losses over their last 6 games(bringing their overall losses to 7). If one of those losses is against a non-common opponent(Raiders) it means that they will only accrue 1 common opponent loss. This would bring the final common opponent records to: Bills 7-5, Jets 8-4. IMO however, this scenario is one of the least likely to occur. Not only would the Bills have to win out......but the Jets would have to win 4 of 6. They would need both wins against Miami(to equal up the divisional record).....and would need to have one of their 2 losses against a relatively weak team(Raiders) while playing at home. This week's game will be quite informative for this scenario. If the Jets lose at the Ravens they will need to beat the Panthers at Carolina in week 15 to maintain the scenario(assuming of course that the Bills win out).

I don't know.... To me it looks like his right foot plants where the middle of the "O" is, and would likely have been able to push forward from that point if not for being slightly unbalanced from the DB. Either way I can't see him being able to catch the ball......and at best have a minimal chance to stop the INT.

To sate your curiosity.... 2005 Rd3 Kevin Everett 1994 Rd2 Lonnie Johnson 1983 Rd1 Tony Hunter 1980 Rd3 Mark Brammer 1974 Rd1 Reuben Gant 1973 Rd1 Paul Seymour 1971 Rd2 Jan White 1967 Rd2 Jim LeMoine Looks like we are due for a high pick TE.

I have. They have them in Crown Casino for the newbies(lower stakes). They work just like normal poker except more hands/hour. The rake is higher too from memory. I also found it harder to get a feel for the other players on the table.

If our young WRs keep improving over the last 5 games, I think there is a very good chance that this could be the philosophy come next draft.
-
Though I agree that there is a chance for us even if we don't win out......you have made an assumption that Pit go 3-3 over the last 6. If they go 4-2(quite possible) they would also be 8-8 and knock us out via head to head. Edit: I think the Pit@Balt game in 2 weeks will have great significance to the playoff picture.

The anti-jinx post.....I like it.

Marrone to Spiller: Get in the O Line's face
Dibs replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That sounds all well and good except for the fact that Spiller ran 96 of his 207 runs last season out of the shotgun for an average of 6.0ypc. -
I think that the people who were saying that had not paid much attention to how Smith had been playing......and likely just focused on his one good game and the few highlight reel TD passes that get shown in the media.

For those of you who gave up on EJ.....
Dibs replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you trolling? He didn't look like Peyton Manning out there.....but crap???? Really? How can you possibly call his performance crap.....and if you can somehow feel justified about it......what adjective would you use to describe his performance last week or Geno's performance today? And shame on you for agreeing with such nonsense. -
For those of you who gave up on EJ.....
Dibs replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What impressed me was the fact he played pretty well today without a solid running game and without our #1 & #2 WRs. Neither was Edward's Arm though. -

Dibs replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OP of this thread was calling out all of the people who "gave up" on EJ......not those that rightly criticized him for his horrid performance last week.
